Ixtapa Cantina — Restaurant in Lunenburg

The seating and drinks was very fast but it ends there!! We were ordering take out as well as our food we were gonna eat at the restaurant so we asked when we should order the take out and the server (Jose)said with our regular meals so we figured he would put it in when we were almost done eating well not only did he bring out our appetizers he brought our entrees out and take out all together! I ordered a torta (chicken) it came ou looked amazing overflowing with chicken cheese lettuce tomato and avocado slices! I bit into it and the bread was so stale and rock hard I could get a bite things happen so I ask to have it fixed giving the benefit of doubt. Well it came back with a 1/4 of the chicken no lettuce tomato or avocado and sat there for 20 min waiting to see Jose to get his attention so by then I was all set with that meal. I ask for the check they still charged me and we sat for another 15 min till he was located and asked if they were serious trying to charge me for the torta long story short it got taken off we get home with the kids food and of course everything is soggy and the cheeseburger was a frozen hamburger patty cut in 1/2 thrown on a sub roll plain with nothing but the cold meat and roll!! I would never go back food service was horrible that’s being nice if I was offered a gift certificate I’d decline it because it was that bad!!! Waste your time or money that’s all it will be a waste!! myself and a party of 8 got seated in the back, our waitress came up to us and was very clearly beyond miserable to be serving us. complete attitude written on her face and in her tone. we ordered a margarita, some waters and a diet coke. the diet coke was given to us 15 minutes later after asking for it several times. food was taking an extremely long time yet she did not come back once to check on us for drinks or to apologize on food. once we finally got our food, we quite literally had to go to the entrance of the kitchen and grab our own silverware, because we didn’t have any and our food was getting cold. also, most drinks were empty by the time we had food, yet she did not offer to refill and seemed annoyed when we asked for a refill. did not come back to check on us once while we were eating. did not clear a single plate. we wanted to order a desert and it took a trip up to the hostess to ask for it (waitress made eye contact while we were holding the dessert menu, but ignored us). proceeded to not check on us for drinks or to go boxes or to check on the desert. took another trip to the hostess to ask for the check. which apparently added a 20% gratuity automatically. so that explains why we were treated like absolute garbage! she knew she was getting an automatic gratuity added so it did not matter how she treated us. side note, we were not aware of the automatic gratuity policy and she did not let us know, so we accidentally tipped her an additional 10% on top of that. beyond frustrating, needless to say we will not be returning. jessica needs a new job! food...
