So glad to have this gem back open in Lynchburg. We went for dinner and I ordered chorizo tacos and a chicken tamale. The tortillas in the tacos were so fresh and definitely made this the best chorizo taco I've ever had. The tamale was so fresh, so soft and delicious I know I'll be dreaming about it! The owner makes them fresh EVERY DAY! 🤯My hubs had the steak nachos which did not disappoint! The nachos are made with Delicia's special flare and were so fresh and delicious. The tienda they have in the store is very cute and loaded with authentic Latin American products & brands and brought me back to when I lived in Mėxico! I bought pan de torta and a delicious coconut macaroon that was the most delicious I have ever tasted. This is a family run operation and the owners are so welcoming, gracious and kind. I'd been wanting to try Ropa Vieja since I learned about it during a lesson in one of my high school Spanish classes. I cannot emphasize this enough, it was SO DELICIOUS. I am over the moon for this to have been my first experience trying it. And for a local place to have such an authentic flavor, at that? I'm genuinely impressed. I'm so happy we have this here in Lynchburg. 5/5, 10/10 definitely recommend. I can't wait to try all the other dishes on the menu. I ordered through door dash, so I cannot comment on the atmosphere of the restaurant/store, but I'd love to check it out! The only thing even slightly negative thing is, on the app it says the cheese dip comes with pico, but mine didn't. Still, for me, that wasn't enough to negate the happiness I got from the tastiness of the food, so five stars...

Delicias is DELICIOUS! They are from El Salvador and that is where my husbands family is from as well and you can tell 100% by their cooking. To be honest I haven't ventured off much because the Papusas get me EVERY TIME. The chicken and cheese , the pork and cheese, (and my favorite) the bean and cheese - they are soooo delicious . The pickled cabbage and the red salsa that come on the side just make it that much better- I'm talkin you are going to need to add extra of this stuff on the side that's how amazing it is! definitely try this place out it is worth it and they have such a wide variety of dishes !
