I bought a bed set set from Schewel’s 3 weeks ago. I’ve been looking for a bedroom set for months. I was super pleased with Rodger, we spoke for few moments and he has a WONDERFUL personality. I walked out the store and came back in to buy the set, this is the same day. When I came back in, I was assisted by Ed. No issue, he gave me prices for the bedroom set (bed frame , rails, dresser, mirror, one nightstand and chest). I informed him I wanted to buy a mattress as well. While looking at mattresses I informed Ed I wanted the adjustable base, not the box spring. Okay, no issue, yet. I go and do the paper work. I cannot remember the woman’s name who assisted me with the paperwork but she is AWESOME. Here comes delivery day. The two men who delivered my furniture were awesome as well. So, the brackets to hold my mirror to the dresser did not come. Then, when it came to putting the mattress down, then bring in a box spring. I informed them I did not buy or order the box spring I wanted the adjustable base. I called the store and then put me on the phone with Ed. I did not understand what he was talking about so my father proceeded to help me. Ed told my father he writes either or, either box spring or either adjustable base, based on your credit. I was mad. A SALESMAN should inform you of what you’re buying, not whatever comes to your house is what you get. My dad told the salesman that is not how you sell something. The salesman mouthed off so my dad told them to tear up the contract and take the furniture back. The delivery guys call the store manager and which my dad explained the situation and the manager asked me to come back over to the store and he will help me. I go to the store, meet the store manager who is very nice and redo my paper work. The store manager made sure I received the base that day. Called Schewel’s today (8/13/20) regarding the delivery for my brackets to my mirror and the woman was literally ridiculously rude. Moral of the story, would I ever buy from them again? No. I do love the furniture and the mattress but the customer there is absolutely trash. If you’re going to buy something go to Ashley’s or Grands. I looked at both Ashley & Grand’s and their customer service is SPECTACULAR. I wished I would’ve spent money their and not on horrible...
Read moreI went to the Timberlake location to purchase a bedroom set and a living room set. The salesman was rude. He didn’t even acknowledge us. I purchased the furniture and have had nothing but problems with the original King bed that we purchased. The center support kept breaking. We had the warranty so they had to replace it. After two of the same bed frames, we finally had enough and told them they needed to do something to replace this. The manager worked out something to where we got another bed that still matched with the nightstand in the dresser. Since then, we had to call the third-party company to come out and reinforce the bed because the bed is just not sturdy. The paint from the headboard has came off and I have contacted Schewels several times to get Fixed and for some reason, the customer service cannot get it together. The management cannot get it Together. They were supposed to have someone come out here on Saturday to replace the headboard and the so-called manager (Lauren) who was in charge of Setting this up, never put the request in. The Timberlake location knows exactly who I am because I have had so many issues with them. I honestly wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. The prices are good, but the nightmare doesn’t start until after you Furniture. I should have Went with my gut and went to Grands. The only thing that is good about the company are the people who come and put the furniture together. They are amazing and don’t get enough praise. Schewels, you all need to do better at the Timberlake location. Unfortunately I am stuck with my furniture for 5 years since I have the warranty but as soon as it’s up, I will be getting something else and hopefully better...
Read moreSchewels is not a bad company to get average grade furniture. With that said, they have perfected the art of the sell and their salesmen have all took a page from the art of the deal. Everytime I come into this store I feel as if I am apart of a con. The salesmen do and say anything to get a sale, even if they know they have just sold you a piece of junk. If you need room to look around first to get a feel of what type of furniture you are looking for, it will not happen. The salesman follow you around like a small child that is attached at the hip.
They also have their own in house credit , which is nice, but again you must read all of the fine print before signing, or you will be surprised to find out many things, that you should have known before you signed the contract. A word about the staff, if you are looking for outstanding customer service, keep on dreaming, their goal, to smile in your face, get your money and then it is to hell with you and your questions. As if you the customer have the right to question any part of your purchase.
Overall The quality of the furniture is ok, but the service from all levels of the staff leaves room for questioning. Go in make your own conclusion, but Grands and Ashley furniture company still have the best quality of furniture if you are looking for furniture that will last for...
