Eight O One Raw Bar Kudos to you for having a great spot in Lynchburg to go to for great seafood, sandwiches, soup, drinks and so much more! Treated Aiden to seafood Friday night at Eight O One Raw Bar. I'd gone for soups and sandwiches 2 other days last week, but was waiting for him to go with me for the seafood. We had the Bacon Scallops as an appetizer. We both got the King Crab Legs with Shrimp, he the 1/2 pound and I the whole pound. They also have Snow Crab Legs if you prefer those. Both are great! Kudos to you for having a great spot in Lynchburg to go to for great seafood, sandwiches, soup, drinks and so much more! Owner Thomas is down to earth and ensures the place is welcoming. Beautiful nautical themed decor and cool vibe music playing. Everyone in Lynchburg keeps begging for a good seafood place...Their seafood is FRESH, not frozen! Shrimp and crab legs are plentiful (you get TRUE weights) and flavorful! Oysters look awesome! Y'all are sleeping on this place. Park behind the restaurant, on the street or in the parking garage across the street after 5pm. It's definitely worth a short trip downtown to 801 Church St. Great atmosphere, amazing food! Earlier in the week, Kevin got The School Board (club as sanwhich or sub (looked so yummy) and I got the French Onion Soup and a side of red roasted potatoes. The french onion soup was AMAZING! Not the usual that seems watered down/diluted.... it was bold, earthy and so rich and flavorful! Cheesy Garlic Bread was delicious! Two pieces are already missing in the photo. It was just what my soul needed on that cold, blustery day. Happy hour specials (beer and cocktails) daily from 3-6 and 8-10. Kevin's 12oz draft was $2.00 each! Can't beat that anywhere!...

Went here tonight as a family of 7. One being a baby who couldn’t eat. Upon entry the staff and customers were very friendly and welcoming. The place was almost at full capacity minus one table which guests kindly offered their extra chairs to accommodate us. There is 7 of us so we expect it to be expensive but for the amount of food we received it was absolutely deceiving. The food all arrived at different times and looked dried up and left over. We ordered crab dip and there wasn’t even enough chips to cover half of the bowl of dip. The food had absolutely no flavor, my kids wouldn’t even eat the corn on the cob or the mashed potatoes. All kids love mashed potatoes! The food was also barely warm. It did not taste fresh at all. We spent 204$ on food and my kids asked to go to McDonalds because they were still hungry due to portion size. We were excited to try somewhere new and respect that it’s a family owned restaurant. The owner or possibly a manger came over and asked how everything was and I told him it was disappointing and lacked flavor and his response was “usually they put too much flavor but they must not have put enough tonight.” The staff and guests like I said were very welcoming but the food was horrible and we won’t be returning. Food was great! I ordered crawfish with seasoned roasted potatoes and corn, and they put it in a bag for me with lots of seasoning and butter. They give you LOTS of potatoes and corn. It tasted 50ooo seasoned. So good. My partner ordered the salmon and it was glazed with a savory sauce that wasn't plowing over the salmon itself, also with a side of potatoes and corn. His coworker order a burger and chips. He said it was pretty nice. The drinks were cheap we came during happy hour; which pretty much is the whole day it seemed like. The service was PHENOMENAL. The sweet lady recommend their crab bites, I think it's what it's called, but they're new to the menu and also very tasty. We even ordered the crab bites to go! It was karaoke night, we went on a Tuesday. It was such a vibe. We were too hungry to take pics, but I'm definitely coming back! They have a wide range of dishes to choose from but it's not an overwhelming amount of options, just enough for anyone to find something to enjoy.
