We love this place, and it deserves five stars on a good day! We have been ordering from here since they’ve opened and MAYBE once had a bad experience before tonight, but unfortunately tonight changed that. We ordered a pizza for our family that had kids over, and when my dad brought our pizza home it was wrong. Not a huge deal, but when you spend $30 on a pizza you kind of want it to be right. So I called and just told them what happened and the girl who answered was great. The owner said he’d send out a new one and it’d be all fine and dandy. I wasn’t even calling to get a new one, but i figured they’d make a note or something and maybe throw a discount on the next one. But I was happy that their customer service was so great and thanked him. People make mistakes, I get it because we are all human. We got our new pizza about an hour later, and they wanted the old one back. As if I was supposed to tell four kids to find something else to eat because we have to send back a pizza that they made wrong, very strange.... The delivery driver was great and said he completely understood and took back what little we had left. All was well until we got a call from the owner completely lashing out on me that I lied and all this nonsense. He was so unbelievably rude I was on the verge of tears. I have not ONCE in my life had such an awful experience with a business. He kept asking me the same questions but wouldn’t give me a chance to speak. He said he never would’ve sent a replacement if he wasn’t going to get the old one back. Finally, I told him I couldn’t hold the kids off, and it took a very long time for the replacement and he went from a level 10 to a 7. I was very shocked at how awful the customer service was because they were so accommodating when I called. Like I said at the beginning, this place is five stars all day long on a GOOD day.... but I pray you never catch that man on a bad day! Extremely dissatisfied with how awful he treated me as a customer. I now understand why some of the other reviews complained...
Read moreBy far the best Pizza in the area. Fantastic thin crust style pizza. Great traditional style sauce, great blend of cheeses, and fresh, generous amounts of toppings. The crust is probably the best part of the pizza though. I usually prefer the center of most pizzas but the dough at Fasano's is buttery and has a balance of crispy and chew. Many of the other pizzas you encounter are floury and dry or chewy like bread. I have tried the "best" pizza places in the Chicago area that are popular as well and the secret hidden gems and I can comfortably say that Fasano's is in the top 10 (maybe top 5) thin crust pizzas in the Chicagoland area. The place is no frills, you can't eat there - strictly carry out. They don't have any trendy toppings or variations of crusts - basic thin crust pizza done right. I will say that the price is not exactly cheap but I'm totally fine with that. You get what you pay for and the value is there when it comes to their pizza. As far as their other food, pretty much garbage. Most of the appetizers are fried but you can tell they are frozen. I tried a few other items and didn't like anything else I've had. I've heard from people in the area that the beef is good but I wouldn't waste my time when I could just head over to Portillos. Prepare to pay a little more, if you go on the weekend, prepare to wait an hour, and make sure you ask them to put it in a box (they will put it in a paper cover otherwise). FYI - I'm usually a sausage and pepperoni person but I've had several other combinations and it was...
Read moreLet’s just get this out of the way right off the back for the most part this pizza is awesome 9 times outta 10. The reason for the 3 star review is because of the service and management. Been a loyal customer since I moved to Palos for like 2 years and it’s the only place I get my pizza from. The last 2-3 orders have been really bad. Ordered a thin crust sausage extra cheese they brought be a stuffed cheese pizza. Said they would fast track it and they would be back in 20 mins would correct pizza . An hour and a half later I got a thin crust pizza with extra cheese no sausage. I was so hungry I just said screw the sausage. Took a bite and something was off, peeled back the cheese and there was zero I mean zero pizza sauce or tomato paste . It was just melted cheese on undercooked crust. It was disgusting. Called to tell them yet again they messed up my pizza and they didn’t care whatsoever. Sent a driver to pick it up and it took over a week to get my money back. A time before this I ordered a pizza for pickup I got there he said about 10 more mins. 20 mins later I asked what the status was and they never even started it and they told me it was gonna be another 45 mins then he walked away from me before I can say anything so I left about an hour later they had the nerve to call me asking me where I was and if I was picking up my pizza. I laughed and said “you’re joking right?” At that point I paid for it already and I wanted my money back and they said all they can do was give a credit. Done...
