Spring Forest Deli and Catering — Restaurant in Lyons Township

A man is playing the slots while waiting for his sandwich, locals chat with the staff about their week, a family is getting their sodas from the old school soda fountain, a pen drawing of Jim Morrison is watching over the resturant. This gem of a deli was an absolute delight. My wife and I stumbled across this quaint little sandwich and pizza joint while enjoying the beautiful scenery of nearby forest reserves. We enjoyed a light lunch consisting of a grilled chicken caesar wrap, the turkey sandwich on garlic bread and juicy sweet peppers, shared a bag of bbq chips and a can of diet Pepsi. It was truly a great experience all around. We enjoyed our meal on the back patio surrounded by beautiful plants and birds singing. A great stop after a day in the woods, or a fantastic place to stop after just driving around the forest reserves. I can't wait to stop in again and try some of their superb...

To be fair I did not try any of the deli meats .. with that said I had the Veggie Sub ..Fish sandwich..fries ..ice tea .. this fish was a normal filet sandwich.. the veggie sandwich fell short of other veggie sandwiches Ive had ..the bread was fresh but only white bread.. very limited veggies .. no where near a Subway or Mr. Sub etc. The fries came out very hot and were ok. Very limited inside seating..only 2 high chair seats .. a outdoor seating area outside of the entrance on the deck . And a very nice outdoor park type area with forest preserve type tables .. if u live in the area its a decent place to go ..but I would not travel too far to visit. Excellent service and always fast ,great food , Great atmosphere, The cashier is super polite and sweet always deli woman make amazing sandwiches staff are super hard workers very attend to us customers best of the they are kind #amazing I recommend everyone try it out if u have it already I usually get hot beef sometimes the beef & sausage comb with hot peppers on it never dry has so much flavor it delicious never had one bad thing from here! #musttry everyone they know there stuff trust my friend!! & last pasta salad in general are my fav I love them here at deli they are always fresh tastey 500 stars & more what I give u guys keep it up...
