Yummy Yummy Asian Cuisine and Grill — Restaurant in Lyons

Another Friday night traveling for date night to little towns around Hutch, we decided to take the new K-96 route North to Lyons. We found a listing for an off the beaten path Chinese restaurant. Set in an old restaurant space on the ground floor of the Ly-Kan Hotel (which may or may not still be operating), I drove by it and didn’t realize at first. Lyons, not being a big town, I eventually caught on - the same side of the next block after the Post Office. We had come earlier than normal for dinner, so we were the very first for dinner rush (the wife wondered if it wasn’t very good because nobody else was there, lol). But as soon as we got seated the first of everyone else getting off at five o’clock shuffled in - greeted and seated by Shannon and the others. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It is Lent, so we wanted something tasty and fish oriented. Now it is Lyons, so the Buffett isn’t as large as in bigger cities, but the food was very good, as the 20-30 couples and family regulars would attest, most known and addressed by name by the main hostess. We had an enjoyable and quiet date night meal, and still made it home in time for TV and holding hands until bedtime, ending our long work week and substitute...

Ordered take out for my wife and I. I have an allergy to mushrooms and take care to read menus closely and ask questions. Ordered a meal that did not list mushrooms as an ingredient, and was verified this on the phone. Got home, and found my meal was mostly mushrooms. At least the Dairy Queen down the street was a little more accurate in their information. Probably won't be ordering from yummy yummy ever again, and if you have any food allergies, I recommend you avoid thus place. My wife did say her meal...

We were traveling through Lyons and I looked to see what was available to eat (Sunday evening) and saw the great reviews! Yummy yummy does not disappoint! Expect HUGE portions with delicious food and quick service. We called and it was ready for take out 10 min later. Highly recommend if driving through want high quality food as opposed to fast-food.
