To all the people referring to this as a âdiveâ, please stop. It is not. A real dive is dirty, decrepit, and dangerous, with various elements ranging from shady to criminal. They donât really exist much anymore but if you were ever in one you would know. If thereâs a bucket on the floor half full of water directly beneath a hole in the ceiling, you might be in a dive. If you see people glancing quickly over their shoulders and heading out the back door, you might be in a dive. If you walk in to the bathroom and see multiple pairs of feet under a stall door, you are probably in a dive. If you get hostile stares because you donât look like you belong there, you are definitely in a dive, and you should probably leave immediately .
