Subway — Restaurant in Macon

Pretty rough spot here. Big banner out front said they are "open and ready to serve." They may be open but they don't care to serve.

Walked in the store with my wife and baby only to have the employee behind the counter step in the back and audibly start complaining about having to help customers. Whatever, everyone has bad days. But when he came back he was short and rude throughout our time there, and put the incorrect meat on one of the sandwiches. We were planning to sit down and eat after a long day of travel, but he proceeded to tell us the lobby was closed since he was already done wiping tables down. It was 2.5 hours before the closing times listed on the door.

Aside from the abysmal service, the floors were dirty, all but one of the fountain drink options were out, and the food behind the counter was clearly not fresh (even by the employee's observation).

Avoid it...

So im pretty sure that we go to subway for the MANY different varieties of sandwiches, starting out with the MANY different choices of breads then on to the meats, however if you only would like to wheat bread as your option you should definitely try out the subway at exit 6 in twiggs county, and let me add stale wheat bread at that. Ive been twice in the past 2 weeks hoping to get my all time favorite fresh Italian herbs and cheeses bread and both times was told they only had wheat bread, (like really c'mon subway) so I dealt with it both times only bc I didnt want to have to cook dinner. However, this time when I got home the bread was so stall that I had to use my own white bread to put my meat and condiments on just to be able to finish the sandwich. I was being sarcastic when I said try this subway bc I would not recommend this place...

Stopped here about 15 minutes ago. Small little truck stop area. Gas station across from restaurant was a typical southern shop. Grabbed lunch from the Subway close by. Didn’t catch the young lady’s name but her customer service was beyond amazing! 😊😄😃 I don’t think I EVER had such a delicious sandwich from subway. To be quite honest Subway hasn’t lately been my go to place for a decent sub but l preferred that option over the other local fast food. My experience today reminded me of why I enjoyed subway so much growing up. Not to be over the top but my fiancé and I felt extremely welcomed and knew we were in a clean environment!
