The atmosphere of the coffee shop was very young and hip. The music playing over the speakers was fun and fresh but not overly distracting to someone who may have visited the coffee shop to work or complete their homework. There were even a few throwbacks to early 2000s Disney Channel while I was visiting.
Honest Coffee had large windows that let in an abundance of natural light and allowed for patrons to look out into the surrounding area. They even have this fun little quirk where the potted plants have name tags in them, which is a really cute touch.
The Coffee
And now for the main event… the coffee. As someone who is not a major coffee fan, I invited a friend, and together we went to try some of their selections. To be economical, we tried a warm drink, an iced drink, and a pastry, though we would be happy to try more. We asked the barista to recommend her favorite warm drink, iced drink, and pastry, and this is what she recommended.
Brown Sugar and Cinnamon Latte
For our warm drink, we tried the brown sugar and cinnamon latte. This latte was very pretty, given to us with a beautiful design on the top. Of the drinks, this one was the more ‘coffee forward’ drink. Though nowhere near being as strong as it could be, it has a strong coffee flavor. This drink was also remarkably true to the flavor profile described. It was a rich, sweet, cinnamon-y drink.
Sugar Cookie Latte
For our cold drink, we tried the sugar cookie latte. The sugar cookie latte was also very pretty. It had red and green sprinkles on the top. This drink is a bit more suited to someone who prefers a sweeter, less ‘coffee’ flavored coffee. It was very creamy and smooth.
What Else Can I Get?
We also tried a blueberry muffin. The blueberry muffin was very nice. It was a sweet muffin with a layer of caramelized sugar on the top, which gave it a slight crunch.
Other Drink Options
Honest Coffee Roasters offers a variety of coffee and tea-based drinks. The majority of their coffee-based drinks are espresso beverages, though they also offer drip coffee (black coffee), iced coffee, and nitro cold brews. Their tea based drinks are a bit more varied, they have matcha and chai teas as well as a variety of teas by another local business, Piper and Leaf.
More Food Options
They have a variety of pastries already prepared by local bakeries, or you can order from their ‘Breakfast and Brunch’ or ‘Lunch and Dinner’ menus. The ‘Breakfast and Brunch’ menu has 4 vegan options, but their ‘Lunch and Dinner’ menu only has one vegetarian option.
They also have a variety of different açaí bowls to choose from and a build-your-own...
Read moreHad an amazing experience at Honest Coffee Roasters this afternoon with a friend. We tried their Samoa Nitro iced coffee, which was okay. While exploring the shop, we noticed a charming corner filled with coffee bean packets, tumblers, and adorable stickers for sale. When I inquired about the stickers, the lady who took our coffee order mentioned they were $2 each or $5 for three.
Although we didn't purchase any stickers, we enjoyed our coffee, took some lovely photos of the beautifully decorated interior, and eventually headed outside. There, we discovered a stunning mural called "March of the Monarch" on one of the shop's walls and began snapping pictures.
To our surprise, the lady who had taken our order came outside with two stickers in hand and generously gifted them to us! She literally bought them for us! Her kind gesture truly made our day. It was my first visit, but with such a warm and inviting atmosphere and exceptional customer service, I will definitely be returning. Highly recommend Honest...
Read moreI’ve had honest coffee a few times and I enjoy the taste of their coffee, but their standard sweetness for flavored lattes isn’t very sweet. I find the flavor is very mild so if you prefer it sweeter I’d ask. Also, I am pretty dissatisfied with the customizability. I came in the other day wanting to try one of their holiday menu lattes ,the nutcracker (sweetened condensed milk and peppermint) but as a cappuccino, and they said they could not. I didn’t quite understand, as the only difference is there being a bit less milk and more foam. I then asked if I could then just get a cappuccino with peppermint and they also said no- supposedly the peppermint is mixed into the milk? The employees explained that and were very kind and sympathetic but I am still disappointed that it’s not something that could be done and I still don’t understand why a cappuccino...
