Seriously super impressed with this new wine bar and lounge in Madison! You can find it downtown near Lanier House, the little tearoom. This place opened recently and offers a huge selection of wines (from Germany, France, California, New Zealand, and more), several varieties of bourbon, and a craft cocktail menu. They also have charcuterie boards and a shop with wine- and alcohol-themed memorabilia that are really quite cute -- think tumblers, candles, and other great gifts. There are televisions playing softly in the room with the bar but there's also a more intimate room; I think it'd be a nice place to gather with friends. I was told there'd be wine tasting nights starting soon! The bartender, Teylor, was exceptional! She put me right at ease, spoke knowledgeably about each cocktail and wine option, and had a good sense of humor. She worked efficiently among the patrons and was very attentive and polite. Shout-out to Teylor! The vibe was really great too - the other guests were friendly and sociable without being overbearing and I enjoyed my visit while having a drink. I ordered the Monte Sano Sunset, which is a rum drink with fruity elements to include orange and pineapple juice as well as a squeeze of lime. It wasn't overly sweet and didn't upset my stomach as similar drinks often do. It was a pleasure to watch Teylor make my beautiful drink as well as what others ordered; there was even fire involved with one particular beverage! I enjoyed my drink and heard rave things from the other guests about each and every drink that was served. Although this bar is rather far away for me, I look forward to bringing friends from out of town to this special new place.

Loved this cozy new bar, The Vine and Oak! While we waited for a table at the new Zanottos in downtown Madison, we had an adult beverage at The Vine. We were pleasantly surprised that the glass of wine and whiskey were $7 each. Great prices compared to most bars and restaurants in North Alabama. The ambiance and service were perfect! I will absolutely return in the near future! Thank you! Tina Garbe, Realtor Leading Edge RE Group Madison

We stopped in for drinks and a charcuterie board. We really enjoyed ourselves. We ordered four drinks between us and three were very good and one was OK. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff was super friendly and very talkative/helpful. Good place to get a drink before or after walking around downtown Madison or having dinner.

If you're searching for the perfect place to unwind with a phenomenal glass of wine or a top-shelf bourbon, look no further than The Vine & Oak. The star of the show is the atmosphere, the incredible drink selection, and the unmatched hospitality.

From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for something special. The ambiance is warm, classy, and inviting without being pretentious. Low lighting, plush seating, and a carefully curated playlist create the kind of relaxed vibe that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile.

The wine and bourbon list are second to none. Whether you're a seasoned connoisseur or just beginning your journey into the world of spirits, the staff will guide you to something that suits your taste perfectly. Every recommendation I received was spot on—smooth, rich, and absolutely unforgettable.

What truly made this the best experience ever, though, was the people. The staff are passionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. You’re not just another customer here—you’re a guest. I felt completely taken care of and left with a new appreciation for the art of a well-crafted drink.

If you're looking for a quiet, upscale escape where the drinks do all the talking, this is it. Bring your friends, bring a date, or just treat yourself—just don’t miss out.

5 stars without hesitation. I’ll...

We recently visited this wine bar during their soft opening for a girls’ night. As we walked in, a man greeted us at the door, and only later did we realize he was the owner. Instead of a simple and welcoming “hi,” he said “ni hao” to us. None of us are Chinese, and some of us were even born and raised in the U.S. The comment felt inappropriate and offensive. If you want to make your guests feel welcome, a warm smile and a friendly “Hi” go a long way, without assumptions based on appearance. Needless to say, we won’t be returning to his wine bar or...
