I went to lunch with a couple of friends yesterday. We had my friend's grandson with us. He is 10 and has short gut syndrome, which is a genetic birth defect that causes all kinds of digestive issues. He has to be fed through a tube into his stomach. He has had lots of therapy to help him learn to eat food. It is a struggle every day for my friend to get him to eat even a bite of food, sometimes going for weeks without eating food. He ordered a spicy chicken patty. He didn't eat it for a while. We visited for so long that he finally got hungry, but his patty was cold. He asked if he could have them warm it up in the microwave. They actually brought him an entire NEW patty. And guess what? He ATE the majority of that chicken patty. The employees have no idea what that kind gesture meant to us. They didn't know his medical status or struggles. They just went ahead and cooked him a new patty without charging us for it. So, to the good employees at Culver's, you will never know the magnitude of that thoughtfulness and service. And by the way, there were employees always checking up on us, bringing us tarter sauce, cleaning up our table, asking if we needed anything. The bathrooms were clean as well as everything thing else, and the food was great. Someone did a great job with training and promoting a positive attitude. Will go back if in town again. Kudos to Culver's in...
Read moreThey have soup!! I don't know if it's just this Mahomet location or if it is new to Culver's across the board, but they have chili, supreme chili, chicken & rice, chicken & noodle and broccoli cheddar. We tried the chili as well as the chicken & rice and they were very tasty.
Overall, the food tasted great and was high quality. The service was friendly and speedy even though a good number of the new employees are still learning. The atmosphere was clean. There were employees walking around the dining lobby cleaning tables and floor, checking on customers etc. Culver's has great food and it's nice to finally see one in Mahomet. They picked a great location to build a Culver's here, as it is directly across the street from McDonald's. Culver's is going to draw in a good amount of business from...
Read moreCulver's food is always tasty, and cooked correctly. We visited this location at 11:00 am, was not busy at all. First problem, we both ordered single burgers but the clerk rang them up as doubles. We got doubles, wife just didn't notice the higher cost. Maybe a simple mistake. Wife upon arrival experienced no paper towels in the women's restroom. She mentioned it while ordering to the clerk, he said, "we'll get that resolved right away". When I go to get my drink and find a table, in the not busy at all restaurant. Only found one table that was clean. Tables all dirty, carpet under the tables needed a good vacuum ing. Wife before we leave goes and uses restroom again as we were traveling. Still no paper towels. Not...
