Back in college we used to order from the local Domino's in Macomb, IL on Sunday afternoons while watching football games. This was back in the mid 1980's and Domino's was by no means the best available pizza in town but they had a 30 minute delivery guarantee or the order was FREE. We used to get quite a few for nothing.
These days there are of course many great choices for pizza in the area so we don't order from Domino's, and if fact, last night was the first time in years. We had tried their new recipe a few years ago but didn't really care for it. So last night my wife and I decided on the spur of the moment to order the special for $5.99 each 2 ingredient pizzas and we chose the sausage and pepperoni. It was really pretty darn good!
This was the first time I had had such a super thin crust on a Domino's offering and I really enjoyed it. It was crispy, it had a sweet sauce on it and the topping were real good, with a perfect amount of cheese, too.
It's still fair to say that this isn't the greatest pie in town but they have really stepped up their game so far as I can tell, and we will try it again in the future when we want a pizza on the cheap that is delivered quickly...
Read moreOrdered just over 30$ of food. One hour going towards two, NEVER got the food, eventually it says it was delivered. Never saw anyone, never got anything. Have tried calling them 6 times now. First three attempts, pressed the button for issues/other reasons for the call. It would ring for about two minutes, then hang itself up. Last three, sent myself through as if placing an order, then was answered shortly after. Explained the issue, and was rewarded with, "Oh, that sucks. Oh well." "Uhhh... ok. Here, let me transfer you to the main branch so they can take care of it." More ring tone and dialing... only for it to immediately hang itself up again. Last call, same thing, but told firmly, "But DON'T hang up." Even after I explained I never touched the phone, and it hung itself up AGAIN. Never got the refund, never got the food, and was ignored and pushed away over and over again when trying to ask what was going on. I kept a calm voice, and was trying to be understanding, but good god do they not care, listen, or take action themselves.
Tldr: Never got my food, never got a refund, and was effectively scoffed at and brushed to the side when trying to call about it. Would not...
Read moreI get Domino's all the time, first time at this location, but this was a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Long story short they got my order wrong, terrible service, cold pizza.
I showed up around 9pm April 27th for pick up, they got my order wrong. I decided to let it slide and just take the pizza.
I asked if they had enough change for $100(only form of payment I had). The guy at the counter said yes. It was the new $100 design with the blue ribbon. He looked at the bill and said it was fake cuz the watermark looked off. I knew it wasn't, cuz I just got it from the bank earlier.
I didn't want to argue, so I went to the 7/11 across the street. They checked it and had no problem with the bill. I got change and went back to pick up the pizza. I mentioned to the guy at the counter at Domino's, 7/11 accepted the $100.
The same employee told me he knows it was fake cuz he "deals with money all the time". Obviously not $100 bills. No accountability, worse customer service, train your employees better. After all this, by the time I got my pizza it was cold.
I hope the owner reads these reviews, because your employees are letting money walk out the door. Never visiting this...
