I love their food and used to frequent it often. Until yesterday my review went from a 5 to a 1 And I won't be back. In December, our business (a few doors down from them) purchased gift cards from Road Runner to give away to customers and employees. I had a large balance on my card $80)The food here is inexpensive and I would eat here once in a while. so clearly, my balance lasted a long time. In April I went to use it for lunch and was told their card machine was not working. The manager, a great guy who calls everyone the boss, hand-wrote my new balance and put his initials next to it. The next time I went in in May the other employee did the same because the card reader wasn't fixed. Yesterday I went in with my family to get us lunch and the woman who I had never seen before, tried to refuse my gift card. She asked many questions and was aggressive as if the money MY company paid for was coming out of her pocket!
She was aggressively asking me the same questions over and over and each time my answer was the same. This interaction went on for almost 20 minutes. She refused to take my card, telling me my balance was wrong. I told her to look at the initials next to the balance. Then my order came out and she threw me a $20 out of the register and said it was to call my balance even and threw the gift card away. (I believe I was ripped off by $4 and some change but oh well). It's okay if they don't do gift cards anymore, but honor them and don't treat customers like they did something wrong. If any of our clients have not used them yet, this will make us look bad. Not cool, for supporting your business. We will never work with you again. Also, This woman needs another job, for customer...
Read moreThe first time I went to Roadrunner, I was absolutely delighted at how amazing their food was! Their tostada and rice was perfect and tasted exactly like the food my late grandmother used to make for me when I went to her house as a child. I’ve missed her cooking ever since she passed away, and the meal from Roadrunner was a lovely trip down memory lane. The hot sauce was the perfect amount of flavor and spice, and the churro was absolutely to die for! It was the best Mexican food I’ve ever had from a restaurant.
The next time I went, the quality had gone down significantly. The beans on my tostada were so cold that I had to microwave my meal before I could eat it. The rice and churro were still good, but the fact that the beans were cold ruined my entire meal. I decided to give them another chance after that, but unfortunately the beans have continued to be cold when I’ve gone, and I don’t want to pay for food just to have to microwave it to make it edible. Incredibly disappointing. This restaurant had the potential to be amazing, and I’m not sure why the quality has...
Read moreI don't know where people been eating that good food or Mexican food. It must have been at another location other than maize. I've tried it a couple times the breakfast burritos, and combo. They are terrible not hot warm at best a little slow. Not Bland very bland. Being Hispanic and coming from a Hispanic background having lots and lots. Although there's differences. This is a whole different world of blend. Although if you use the hot sauces and other stuff I guess you could hide it. I've tried it even on food trucks, in the military, and on cruise ships.other cities and states. All of these other places good to very good. And close to authentic. I heard there's other locations maybe I'll try them.. I'd like to try a couple more items of this place to see if there's a difference maybe it's just the breakfast burritos and combos that were very bland and no taste. Want to give honest review to be fair. Want to get this Good stuff. Just want a good tasty Mexican restaurant food. Also needs to be clean, hands, handling of food, and cleaning...
