Literally the worst experience I'd ever had at a restaurant. I felt bad for our server because she was doing her best, but it is clear that the management here is horrid. It is clear that no one had proper training.

We came here on Christmas Eve with a reservation. After waiting over 20 minutes past our reservation (we came in 10 minutes early, btw), a waiter came up and tried to seat another group who had no reservation and showed up 10 minutes later than us. Bad start. I pulled a Karen and got us seated immediately. We got a bad excuse about how they were short-staffed when there were tons and tons of tables open, and it wouldn't take much to have us seated.

All four of us had ordered MEDIUM-RARE burgers. Only 3 WELL-DONE burgers were served, and they had forgotten about one completely. The server went back to the kitchen to get the last burger to us, but the kitchen staff had proceeded to forget about it for 30 more minutes. Obviously, we packed out the last burger. The server felt so bad, she tried to make things right by giving us half off on the burger and a free dessert. I gladly took her offer. As for the sides, the sweet potato fries looked good, but the baked potatoes tasted like rubber. Not sure how anyone can screw that up so much. There were also no silverware available for a while, and we constantly had to ask for them. Our server was running back and forth like a headless chicken because, obviously, the kitchen is understaffed with incompetent cooks (I don't use that word lightly). Not to insult the cooks, though; it's definitely more management's fault.

Overall, we spent over 2 hours at this restaurant (AFTER being seated) for subpar burgers and rubber potatoes (couldn't even eat them). Prices were obviously not cheap either. Definitely never, ever coming back. To the girl who served us, if you do see this review, great job, and you've had a rough start to serving. They're lucky to have you here, but this place really sucks. To management, please get this restaurant together if you don't want to have it closed. It also makes the Double Eagle Resort look...

After the experience my family had at Eagles Landing, I doubt if they will be able to stay open for much longer. It was clear that this restaurant has serious problems that are not possible to easily fix.

During the meal, I thought that this was our server’s first night of work, I later learned that he had been working as a server at the restaurant for quite a few months. He truly lacked any sort of understanding of what his duties were as a server since he never picked up our menus, had to be asked repeatedly to refill drinks, brought out dinner plates missing major components, did not provide butter for rolls, etc.

A large portion of the food was inedible. My soup was lukewarm at best and I had to send my dinner back twice since it was brought out cold (the meat felt like it had come straight from a refrigerator). The meat was so salty that I couldn’t eat it. My wife and daughter only ate the potatoes off their plates and left the rest of the dinner. Our server didn’t seem to understand that it was not acceptable to be serving such poor quality food.

When I went up front to speak to a manager I was instead directed to speak to the bartender since there wasn’t a manager that night. The bartender just shrugged his shoulders when I told him that our meals were inedible. He finally said “What do you want me to do about it?” I told him, “Make things right.” He never would come to our table to see that we couldn’t eat the food that was served and wouldn’t take the inedible food off our check. In the end, we received a 15% discount on overpriced food that we couldn’t eat. We went home hungry and ended up eating peanut butter on bread for dinner.

There are much better choices in June Lake. Eagles Landing was the most disappointing restaurant experience in my...

It's a beautiful resort designed like a mining settlement. We were surrounded by tall pine trees and giant mountains on all sides. There's also a beautiful creek running along the perimeter of the resort and it was nice to listen to the water constantly flowing while walking through the resort. In the early morning we could hear a duck or two quacking from the fishing lake on site. Our room had a beautiful view on all sides, plus a balcony where we could sit back in the evening and appreciate the view of the night sky. The restaurant on site was a bit pricey, but the quality of our dinner was excellent. The spa and pool was very relaxing. The gym was pretty complete and surprisingly empty. There is also a staff member present if you want to purchase any items for the spa or pool, or if you want a snack or smoothie. We were only a minute-drive away from a small grocery store that also had maps and visitor information for nearby attractions. The resort lobby also had some good tourist pamphlets. The WiFi was the only issue because our cabin was probably located a good distance away from their server, so at times it would disconnect. There are hiking trails nearby and other fishing lakes all just minutes away. Perhaps because our stay was at the end of August, the community was really nice and quiet with hardly any other vehicles on the road. Just be careful not to speed - I almost hit 2 deers...

After waiting for a short but seeming long time at the host desk with no one in front of us. We were finally greeted by the bar tender/host/waiter. After we were seated I looked at reviews and thought “maybe we chose the wrong place”. Things started a bit slow but after we placed our order everything seemed to pick up pace slightly. Overall the waiter was very friendly, yet quiet. Our food was good and it hit the spot after 15 hours since our last meal. The place was incredible and very clean. You couldn’t ask for a nicer atmosphere.
