We had a blast at their Saturday morning Cajun music slot! Troy Lejuene and band were great, beer was cold and the folks were friendly. I would highly recommend going to bed early and start partying 9-1 Saturday in Mamou!!

Fred's Lounge is a historical monument! If you want to truly experience small town Cajun culture you MUST stop by here on a Saturday morning. Yes, you will drink before 10 a.m. BUT you will experience wonderful Cajun French music and the glorious warm people of South Louisiana! This should be a bucket list item...

When we go to Louisiana we go to Fred’s Lounge first....New Orleans is further down our list ! You MUST go and see this place as it may not be there forever. We sit at bar and watch the action..... It is Saturday morning and I wish I was there right now instead of watching hurricane Barry...
