Mainbrook Tavern — Restaurant in Manalapan Township

Horrible service and even worse bartenders! Decided to have a few drinks. Went to the indoor bar. 2 female bartenders were behind the bar. After sitting we were never greeted or acknowledged. A few minutes go by still nothing. Each bartender had passed us 3 or 4 times. Not making drinks or serving customers just cleaning and basically making themselves appear busy walking around. We patiently wait and still nothing. A man then walkes up from patio area and the 1st bartender runs to him immediately. Then as she prepared his three drinks directly infront of us the other bartender ran and began chatting with him. Guess a regular! We continued to wait. At this point another patron had made a comment to us about how we were being ignored. Then my friend asked the one bartender if we needed to take a ticket (like a deli in a grocery store) to get served. Received a lovely look of hate and aggravation as she said no and continued to appear busy...still ignored. Finally the other bartender approached with an attitude and asked "did you want something?" Like we were an inconvenience to her. We got 2 drinks but felt so uncomfortable and unwelcomed we decided we would go somewhere else. PS - Next bar we went to, we were greeted within 15 seconds of sitting, order taken within 30 seconds and drinks within a minute and...

The food was good. The music bingo was excellent. The service was atrocious. I'm sitting in this place right now...it is my birthday...table of 8 and the manager takes everyone's order and not mine. I go to the bar to give it to him and he tells me wait and then walks away. 15 more minutes and he never takes my order. My beer glass was empty for a half hour. I have to go up to the manager again and tell him my order and point out that my whole table has had empty glasses for a half hour. My food comes out immediately then sits and gets cold as it is rude to eat without the entire table having their food. They served us 2 at a time with 20 minutes between each 2 dishes they brought. My niece ordered a chicken quesadilla and got steak. My other niece order a jersey burger medium well and her dish was full of blood and the burger was totally raw. My second beer has now been empty for 25 minutes. This place could be a good place, but the wait staff need A LOT of work. The manager is a nice guy, but in no way being a manager. Unless you have a lot of patience and time to wait...pass...

My husband threw me a 50th birthday party at Mainbrook Tavern in the beginning of September. We are STILL getting compliments about how amazing the party was. The food was absolutely delicious (we had a guest who had gluten restrictions, and that was handled seamlessly) and the service was impeccable. We had the side room, patio, and access to the bar, and every one of my guests felt like their glasses were never empty and that the staff would do anything they could to make their experience at my party perfect.

James, who handled every detail of our party, was kind and accommodating and wanted to make sure that every detail was just right. We were able to decorate the room the way that we wanted it. We've made a lot of parties, and Mainbrook was definitely one of our absolute favorite venues.
