Mom's Golden Griddle — Restaurant in Manalapan Township

My wife and I were just there and had a great breakfast. I was delighted to see that they have a healthy vegetable omelette. It was excellent. And my wife enjoyed the banana walnut nut pancakes. And the vegetarian omelette came with fresh fruit. Our server, Emily, was very friendly, and responsive to our needs.

We returned for lunch and I had the Reuben sandwich. Absolutely delicious! And my wife had an omelette that she loved. Osi was again our waiter and did a great job in serving us, always friendly and attentive. I also noticed the beautiful wallpaper around the back of the restaurant.

My wife and I had breakfast there two weeks ago and we absolutely loved it! We each had omelets, hash browns and rye toast. The atmosphere is really nice with music playing softly in the background. The only reason I continued to order from here was because the food was delicious. I always ordered my usual bacon and egg on a plain bagel with an order of French fries. The past 4 times, there has been issues. You would think with a simple order like that there would be no issues, but nope!

Cooks would always either forget items, put cheese on my sandwich (which I am HIGHLY allergic to), toast or hard roll instead of bagel, or wrong kind of bacon.

Even times when I would order more if a friend or family member wanted something. They would mess up both of our meals with either forgetting items or cooking something different than what we asked.

I am sick and tired so complained to someone and am leaving this review for everyone to see. I tried being understanding, but for it to keep happening is unacceptable.

We've stopped in many times and the food and service has been just fine. Today was no exception but for the hot chocolate.

First time it was served in a milk shake glass. Looked nice! Holding a hot glass of anything is not such a great idea. If the glass had a handle then maybe. A napkin did the trick for a hot second then we asked for a more traditional cup. "Just pour this into a coffee cup please"

Second time the hot chocolate was remade and was watery. First glass was perfect in the wrong container.

Third time the hot chocolate was remade with more chocolate and came served in a mug.

Every time the chocolate was made it came with whipped cream. Whipped cream was specifically not wanted anytime.

We laughed. We ate. We left a heafty tip. Some times ya have to laugh and leave the 'upset' for things...
