We just ate our favorite meal, of our stay in Manati, at Salt and Pepper. The carribean shrimp was so tasty and fresh. My girlfriend had the stuffed eggplant with shrimp and vodka sauce which she said was amazing. Our husbands both had their favorite, chicken parmesan. Along with the fabulous food was our comradery with the owner Mike. He was the icing on the cake!!! What a wonderful conversation we had with him. He is truly a wonderful family man working hard at his family restaurant. He taught his son well to cook !! Thank you Mike for an amazing dining experience as well as your fellowship!! Bob, Karen, Roy and Cheryl!!

So happy we stumbled upon this place. One of the best meals we had on the island and very quick service! Although there was a language barrier between us and the waitress she worked with us and made the experience so great! Highly highly recommend coming here. Ps. Do not use apple maps to find. It sent us to an old location which is now a grocery store. We google mapped it after and it was about 3 minutes away.

Good food, great service, big portions. The argentinian surf & turf was great, the mushroom sauce… outstanding. Careful about the chicken rice soup and mamposteao, its not bad, but its not what we expected. About the desserts, the lechoza (cooked papaya) was delicious but the other ones were average. Parking is not visually appealing, is more like a labyrinth, we parked outside. Credit cards accepted.

We had just finished our job down the street, the whole reason we all came to Puerto Rico. We had about 7 of us. We parked, and walked up to the door (there was only one car parked out front), and it was locked. We were about to retreat in disbelief when we were suddenly buzzed in. Many of our local co-workers had suggested this as a really good place to go to. Just talking about it now, in this review, is making me very hungry. The lighting inside was so dim, that some people in our party grabbed their cellphone and turned on the lights. When the people that worked there saw this, they immediately turned the lights up, which helped, but it was still pretty dim in there. We saw the usual items on the menus and some other items such as skirt steak. A few nights before I had already had the skirt steak, and while it was pretty good, I was not in the mood for it. Mofongo just didn't seem like something I wanted to try, though I felt I was obligated to. My co-worker inquired about steak or something, and they told him they had t-bone steak. He ordered that, and I ordered it as well. It wasn't exactly on the menu but it was excellent. Our meal was ready in a decent amount of time. The person that got the Mofongo at our table let us try it, and boy was it good. I almost should have ordered it. My t-bone steak was AWESOME. Wow, wish we had known about this place when my wife, daughter, and parents were still on the island. I highly recommend this place! Prices are reasonable, and food and service was EXCELLENT. They also served us some homemade Sangria to start and a pitcher. If you find yourself in Manati, Puerto Rico, do not...

We had the seafood paella and the meat paella. Both were “for two” but would easily serve three. We also ordered calamari, the salmon in vodka sauce and the fried sweet plantains, plus virgin piña coladas. Everything was excellent. The paella seasoning was pretty tame and it didn’t include peas like some paellas, but the meat was all evenly cooked. Service was delightful. I ordered cafe con leche at 7pm and they put some on to drip just for me. Highly...
