My husband and I visited this deli for the first time today. We heard great reviews and were happy to try. The front counter staff was friendly and helpful in explaining various menu items. As we were waiting for our order, I overheard the staff packaging the orders. I heard them reading off my order and started paying attention to the conversion. The front counter staff read off the ticket and checked with the cook. When our last sandwich was read off the ticket, the cook said "there are no other items on that ticket". The front counter girl said "here at the bottom". The cook developed major attitude and said "you can't write that at the bottom! I don't look at the bottom of the tickets ever. Now it's going to take even longer for that order because now I have to make that sandwich". I was highly disappointed by this exchange because the cook should know to read the entire ticket! We took our order home and were further disappointed by what we received. My husband's sandwich was soggy and my hot sandwich was cold- as in it was never grilled. It was cold bread, cold lunch meat and cold, unmelted cheese. The only sandwich that was correct was a grilled cheese! For how pricey the food is, I was very disappointed that it wasn't made the way it was supposed to be made. For a first experience, I was highly disappointed and not sure how quickly I...
Read moreI called in for Good Fri to confirm they were open, the owner named Dawn answered & confirmed they'd be open. I came to dine in. When I came inside, there were three women working, I said good morning a few times, only one person responded back. No friendly service. I needed to use the men's room after I ate, but learned it was out of order after attempting to use it (there was no OUT OF ORDER sign posted). I went to use the women's bathroom and saw a sign up on the wall. The sign was very offensive & disrespectful towards men. It makes me think they don't need my, nor any mans' business. It could also explain why the owner and another young lady with tattoos did not greet or speak to me when I came in although I said good morning and clear enough so that a third young woman at the register spoke back. Also, the young lady with tattoos wears very high shorts that expose parts of her body in addition to revealing tattoos. This is highly inappropriate for a business that has young children who come inside to eat. There should be a dress code in place for employees. I'm appalled at how the young women come to work dressed this way in addition to the highly offensive sign hung up on the wall in the ladies room. The food and prices simply don't matter when this is what I see when coming to a place like this....
Read moreI have very mixed feelings about this review. This place has fantastic food! Always pleased with that. As far as food I’d give them 5 stars. However, the wait time to get lunch is absurd whether you walk in or call ahead.
My experience as well as many others when you call ahead is as follows: They tell you 20 minutes. You get there and wait in line for about 25-30 minutes only to get up to the register for them to tell you your order is not ready and to have a seat. Then you sit and wait another 15 – 20 minutes.
If you are stopping there or calling in during the week on your lunch hour BEWARE! You will not have enough time to get your food and return to work within an hour’s time.
Some suggestions… Don’t tell people it will be ready in 20 minutes only to have them come in to wait even longer. Make a separate line for pick up orders so people don’t have to wait in line with people who are ordering. I have been going to this deli for many years. This problem just seems to be getting worse. It is truly sad because the people are nice, and the food is great but part of having a successful business isn’t just about good food. You must provide good customer service along with that and currently they are lacking...
