I just want to start by saying that I like the food at Al Bacio. I’ve eaten the pizzas, subs, and appetizers and have enjoyed the food. My rating here is based more on service. My husband and I order here fairly regularly. The last time, I made a mistake when ordering online. I ordered a white pizza thinking it had no meat. Totally my fault. The website and menu clearly state it has ham. I meant to order the white pizza with tomatoes but was not paying enough attention. Again, MY FAULT. My husband picked up the order and as a vegetarian, assumed I had ordered the vegetarian white pizza. So, when he saw the pizza had ham, he questioned the employee. They informed him that this was the white pizza, which had been ordered. Here is the issue—they did it in a condescending way—as if my husband couldn’t, or didn’t bother to read the menu. *My husband was not trying to get a free pizza or refunded. He accepted and said he didn’t realize and that his wife would eat it. But, the two employees (an older and younger male) acted annoyed and condescending—throwing a menu on the order bc obviously, we don’t read. I like the food. I will say right now—the owner was not involved. However, the food in my opinion has been comparable to Marco’s. Al Bacio is simply close and more convenient. This left a bad taste in my husband’s mouth. Customer service is important to us both (both of us have worked in the service industry). We will explicitly go out of the way for Marco’s. Also: lesson learned—online ordering is awesome! However, I always tip as part of my order. I won’t do this again since you can get poor service while already giving away a tip. A simple and polite— “our white pizza comes with ham, would you like to add something else to your order?” Would have...
Read moreWe were told our pizza would be ready in 20 minutes. I got there in 20 minutes, paid for the order and was told it wasn't ready yet. They were busy, so I understood and thought it would be a few more minutes. However, after 20 more minutes, they still didn't call me. So I checked on it and was told they were busy and they would let me know. 5 minutes later, someone came out and asked me my name and what did I order. I told them again. Then, they handed me my pizza ....it had been there since i walked in the door. it was barely hot. The counter person asked me if there was a problem when I opened the lid, so I told her it was barely warm since it had been sitting there for over 25 minutes. She said, "let me see what I can do." But, it was already 30 minutes past the original time they told me it would be ready, and I was running late bc of having the extensive waiting time, so I left. After heating it up once we got home, it's not great. Last time we order from there. Their food isn't cheap, so save your money and...
Read moreNew to the area and saw the great reviews online as York’s Best pizza . Ordered this past weekend and was disappointed. Ordered through Carryout Courier and it took almost 2 hours to get our order. After an hours and half I contacted the delivery service for an update on my order. Was told the driver was at the restaurant and had been waiting for 40 minutes to get our order to deliver. We ordered a large pizza and wings. We finally got our order 20 minutes after I called , the driver (from Carryout Courier ) apologized and explained that he picks up and delivers orders from Pizza Al Bacio often and they always take forever to make the orders. I was a little worried that our food would be cold but was happy that is wasn’t. After all that wait I was disappointed because the pizza was not that great . Mediocre pizza and wings at best! I could of gotten better pizza from any other place and spent less money! Aside from paying for the delivery a pizza and wings cost $40. I do not think the food is worth the wait...
