With so many other choices, take your money elsewhere.
You will thank me later.
So this place is pretending to be high-end, but fall short in many ways.
We had a reservation, we actually showed up a little early. The hostess had to ask the supervisor if we would be allowed to have a seat for the inexcusable infraction of showing up early. Despite 10 to 15 tables open, we were told we would have to either wait or have a seat at the bar for our crime.
We went to the counter, where the "tender" (since they do not have a bar) was, she told us that they still do not have a liquor license. So you can pick one of four Common John beers, soft drinks, or water. No ciders, or dozens of other non liquor choices that are available.
After a short while, we were allowed back into general population and were seated. Where we sat for about 15 minutes before our server arrived. She gave us the usual half hearted apology. We decided to start with several appetizers and... beer.
The appetizers were amazingly...ok. Nothing near spectacular. We placed our dinner order, just a very expensive filet and chicken. No special requests or anything that was not on what already is a very limited menu.
After 30 minutes, another half hearted apology about the food taking so long. So we asked how much longer, we were told at least 20 to 30 minutes.
At this point we just canceled our order, paid for the mediocre at best appetizers and left.
This must be a common occurrence since the server was just like ok have a good night.
An hour just for a pricey filet and chicken. From the other reviews it seems that this happens often.
For a restaurant trying to present itself as high end, it is all for show. A menu without $ signs, Edison lights, and a record player does not make up for the abysmal experience we had.
With choices like Glass Hollow, Filos, 122 West, and even Cracker Barrel, that has a better drink menu. Take your money and time elsewhere.
I have noticed that the owner likes to make snarky comments on people who dare criticize their over priced, underwhelming experience. Definitely a red flag.
No apologies, just excuses. And obviously not doing anything to improve the many, many, shortcomings that is the...

This was my second visit to BS. Manchester is such a small town with limited restaurant options, so itâs refreshing to see a place offering vegetables other than broccoli on the menu. This quaint little spot has a nice vibe and the potential to be a high-end restaurantâbut the food quality, execution, and flavor just arenât there yet. Unfortunately, the prices already are.
We started with the beets and goat cheese appetizer, which was quite good. The beets were unevenly cookedâsome tender, some a bit firmâbut overall flavorful. The meat and cheese board was also a nice assortment with a good variety.
Our entrĂŠes, however, were disappointing. I ordered the roasted half chicken with Brussels sprouts and asparagus. As Gordon Ramsay would say, that dish would have been sent back! The asparagus was mushyânothing worse than thatâand the Brussels sprouts were drenched in a glaze that made them overly sweet. The chicken had no flavor at all; even a bit of salt or herbs would have helped. It lacked crisp skin and tasted flatâno seasoning, no butter, no love. Cooking 101: salt and fat add flavor!
My husband had the ribeye with green beans and mashed potatoes. His steak wasnât warm and, again, not seasoned. My mother-in-law ordered fish and chips and actually loved hersâthe fish was the standout of the night. Ironically, the French fries were the best-seasoned food on the table.
Our server, Sarah, was friendly and attentive, and she did the right thing by taking my dinner off the bill since I barely touched it.
Overall, this place still has a lot of potential. I truly hope they improve with time because Manchester could use a restaurant like this done right. Keeping my fingers...
Read moreOur family's had our first, but not last, trip to BS on 9/26/25. It was highly anticipated and did not disappoint. Started with the Caramalized Onion Dip. I'm not a huge onion fan but never realized that onions could be cooked so sweetly. My only minor "criticism" would be only getting 4 small pieces of bread with it, which really wasn't enough. Maybe kick it up to 6?? Honestly, there was a wait of about 45 minutes to get our entrees. But the wait was worth it. My youngest got a plain steak quesadilla from the kids menu along with street corn. My very picky daughter loved both. My son got the fish and chips...which was huge. 4 large pieces of fish and fries, which were cooked to perfection. My wife got the chicken and gnocchi. I did not think it was possible tho get something as starchy as gnocchi to be so light, but they were. And delicious as well. The only dish preventing this from being 5 stars was mine. I got the strip, baked potato and street corn. The steak was tender and delicious. Only 2 issues were that it was slightly under in some places (rare instead of medium rare), and the fat was not really rendered and needed cutoff. I am positive that if I had sent it back to be corrected, but honestly, even with some rareness the steak was absolutely tender and delicious, so I ate it...all... The sour cream on the baked potato was unlike any I've ever had and seemed ti be homemade...and was totally awesome.
All in all, we all cleared our plates, with the exceptions of some fries and street corn and thar was only because of the generous amount served. The food was well worth the price and we will be going back at some point. Hopefully the lamb will be...
