I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM MANCHESTER GRILL AGAIN.
We were valued customers of there, eating there 2x a month, hosting all of our family events there, telling others to do so as well... 3 birthday parties, informal events and many many many special occasions.
I placed an order this evening and the order was wrong. Mistakes happen. Said “don’t touch the food that was sent and sending new food” perfect. Realized my salad was missing when I went to sit and at least something with my children. Called back said listen the salad isn’t even here. Just cancel my order. Girl was extremely pleasant and said she would credit my account for my meal. Told me to hold. Assuming she went to get the manager.
Lenny.... lenny comes on the line and says mam’ I’m making your food now, what am I supposed to do with this meal now? I said get it right the first time. He told me “she read it back to you.” I vividly remember her not reading my order back to me as I thought wow that isn’t a bad price hopefully she got everything. He continues to say “she does this everyday all day” I said well that’s wonderful she didn’t. Not her fault. All I’m saying is I want to eat with my children. swear on my life she didn’t read it back and order was wrong.
Lenny proceeds to tell me rudely and interrupting me. “ that’s just weird.” Okay dude it’s being used as an example.” Lenny continues to state “actually out of context.” I began to get upset and said excuse me look how your speaking to your customer. All I’m calling to say is the order is completely wrong and missing.
I told him how upset I was after 8 years of giving him over $3000.00 probably even more!!! worth of events and parties. And he knows exactly who my husband is. As we always used to speak to him when booking events, going in for events or simply picking up an order. Lenny continues to say “and what’s your husband going to do, I’m sure he knows exactly what I’m dealing with married to you.”
I told him this is so unprofessional come and pick up the rest of your food I am disgusted to even still eat it. and he will be getting a poor review on yelp, here, fb and anywhere. He proceeds to tell me “oh and your 3 Facebook friends.”
Ended the call hanging up on me.
I am appalled and will NEVER ever ever order from there or refer others to there to host their events.
Now out $55.00 and no dinner and absolutely disgusted in their...

I was a professional chef for nearly 3 decades, one of a handful of graduates from the renowned Balsams 4 year apprenticeship in Dixville Notch, NH, and was also trained by Roland Henin... the master Chef that also trained Thomas Keller. I also want to state that I do not know anyone that is affiliated with this establishment either, nor do they know who I am or where I've been. With that being said, after being disappointed with over a half dozen other restaurants in town since moving back to CT a few years ago, I decided to give this place a shot. Quite frankly, I haven't looked back since. I've been ordering dinner for take out here on my evening breaks at work every day for well over a year now. Never once has the quality waivered. Never once, have I had to pull a rotton piece of lettuce from my salads. Never once have my grinders been half filled. Never once have my burgers been anything less than perfect. Basically what I'm saying is that the consistency here is off the charts compared to everyone else in town. To me, that shows a kitchen that knows what they're doing. Throw in the fair prices, and nothing short of a top notch front counter staff who couldn't be any friendlier, and I'm left with no reason to go elsewhere. I honestly do not understand what some of these other negative reviews are talking about. Is it a highly rated Michelin star restaurant? No. But it is a place where I know exactly what I'm getting every single day, with very fair prices to boot, and service at the pick up counter that I could only dream of hiring back when I was running some of the most exclusive kitchens on the East Coast. Read moreI am beyond mad right now. I order from here at least once a week and tonight I am livid! I ordered to double cheeseburgers with bacon. No bun and instead of fries a side salad. I also ordered a small cheese pizza. I get there and the girl says I ordered 2 burgers and that I never ordered a pizza. I told her I did and she again told me I didn’t! Then tells me it’s going to be 10 mins. So now I’m annoyed. Not because they didn’t make the pizza.... but because the way the girl acted. The snide comments and annoyed faces she gave me. I asked her if the burgers could be warmed up bc sitting there for 10 MORE mins is going to make them ice cold. I got another annoyed face and an eye roll and they re heated the burgers and wrapped them in foil to sit another 5 mins. Why couldn’t they just be remade? And ready when the pizza was. Whatever, I let it go. I finally get my food and the blond girl (NOT the rude one) who’s always there apologizes because she knows we are there all the time. I accepted and said it’s ok. I get home open the box to find FRIES IN BOTH MEALS when I asked for a salad instead. Meaning they charged me for side salads also!!!! I cannot eat the fries! I’m just done. Now I’m sitting here with a cold burger, fries I can’t eat AND was over charged. This makes me never want to come back here. It’s sad try just lost a good customer. Biggest waste of 34.02.
