Been to Moe Joe’s a few times this past trip has left such a bad taste we will never be going back. We came in and immediately there was no one at the hostess station but you could see the employees around the corner talking. As we waited 5 minutes before the hostess came around the corner joking ‘I saw you there, don’t worry’ we didn’t say much back just wanted to be seated, she proceeded to make jokes at that moment my boyfriend cut her off and asked to be seated in a booth. I think it was made clear we just wanted to be seated and weren’t in the joking mood. But she again proceeded with not so funny jokes and made a comment regarding the problem with our generation and referring to our age. At that point I took offense to her comment and didn’t want to hear another thing she had to say and finally we were seated. A few moments later this hostess decided to come back to our table and starts questioning as to how old I am and where I work at which point I answered that it wasn’t any of her business and we would just like to get breakfast and not argue. She continued to make negative remarks at which point I asked for the manager and she stated that I was looking at one and that we can leave. At that point my boyfriend was also disturbed by this women’s comments and stated that we would leave. On our way out the ACTUAL manager approached us and asked what had happened. I explained and asked if the hostess of the restaurant is the manager as well because that is what we were told. She replied that no she was just a hostess and was shocked at the situation. Offered to comp our breakfast and sit on the bar side. We agreed, and we’re still planning on paying for our breakfast, we just wanted decent service. At this point we had put in our order and were waiting for our food to come out as this hostess began to heckle from behind making side ways comments and that was just the third strike, we approached her and told her we weren’t going to be heckled while trying to have breakfast and explained how disgusted we were with how we were being treated and canceled the order and left. Now Moe Joe’s have lost a loyal paying customer to such poor treatment of guests and the horrible experience the hostess has created on a Sunday...
Read moreMy children took me out here for Mother's Day, made reservations for eight with a baby meaning highchair when we got there the hostess didn't even acknowledge me when when I told her we had reservations, it was a blank stare. She walked away. Then she came back and she said all I have is a high top. I said we cannot have a high top with a child. She left she came back she said, well that is all I'm gonna have otherwise it's gonna be a while. Meanwhile, we had reservations for 10 o'clock, so we took the high top because my daughter didn't wanna cause a scene. I said we can't take a high top with a child. Needless to say my grandson was sitting on a booster seat on the high top and ended up falling off and bump in his head. Meanwhile, no one is around my daughter went to the bar and asked for some ice. The woman at the bar was very nice very accommodating came over and gave us ice. The food came. Everything was wrong everything it was horrible horrible, horrible the service, the hostess, my my grandson falling off the booster seat called once we left there and asked to speak to the manager. Never got a call back called the next day. Didn't get a call back. Finally, I called someone at the Mojo's in East industrial. She said she would be there. She would give her a message. Never got a call ended up calling back. Finally, she called me back I explained to Nicole what it happened specially, with the hostess telling us that we couldn't have a table that we needed a high top she repeatedly said to me did you asked to speak to a manager and I said no I did not ask to speak to a manager, because the reservations was for a table and a toddler Called back because she said she was going to check everything out. Talk to the man to the owner and then give me a call back I had still not received a call back my grandson luckily is fine, but had a huge bump on his head for about three days . This is the worst establishment I've ever been to. Being in customer service myself, I would be horrified if my staff acted like that being a manager my area supervisor would've had my head if I talk to somebody like that not a good...
Read moreQuite honestly I wish I could give this place a better review. I really enjoy their food, they have the best french onion soup Ive ever had, great side dishes, and the decor is quite cozy. What makes me SO disappointed is the absolute TERRIBLE customer service. I’ve ordered from here at least 6 times since it is right down the street from my work place and my grandmother has also ordered from here probably just as many times (she works in the same building) but I can’t tell you the amount of times we walk in, nobody greets us, or helps us after standing there for 10 minutes (even when it’s not busy) they waitresses are just so rude, they all look like they hate their life and that you are an inconvenience for being there! I always order an hour ahead and so does my Grandmother. We tell them our arrival time, so it’s fair to expect our food ready and out by the time we are there especially since all we ever order is soups or sides. Nope.. you can always expect at least a 15-20 minute wait. It’s honestly quite sad because I always tip even with take out!!! I expect to be treated the same way I treat them. My grandmother was very upset because she was unable to eat her lunch with me last time because it took her whole lunch break to get the food she ordered ahead on, and the Manager came up with every excuse under the sun and said “Well I guess I just have to talk to my staff about placing the ticket order sooner” No, how about you place the ticket order as soon as you get the order and then just leave a note for the chef on the ticket or physically tell them “this customer wont be here till — this time.” Its as simple as that. Most of my working life Ive been a food worker, specifically waitressing and management. This place’s customer service is absolutely TRASH. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go here and it’s such a bummer because I love the food so much! Only reason I’m giving 2 stars...
