I've been going to the Goldenrod restaurant since I am probably about 8 years old my favorite was Charlie vanilla ice cream when they made their ice cream themselves and their french fries when they made their french fries themselves I also happen to like the chicken drum at plate which is vest and also the seafood platter which is extremely good and if they just want a basket of belly clams that's incredibly good to place has been remodeled over the years and I've watched it as I have grown up not to mention my age but you know the place is a that's a hysterical historical landmark so don't be afraid to stop by and grab your favorite ice cream on a warm day or get your favorite plate of food fast food that it may be is still the best food in Manchester by far and you can also if you really feel like it have a drink a beer with your Seafood beer is one thing I do have it's not a bar to hang out at or anything like that but if you want to have a drink with your meal you can the place is clean respectable the people are respectable their young but they will take your order fill your order and make sure you are pleased with everything you receive all right take care world out there and remember goldenrods has been around since before I was born and my parents had an opportunity by the place years ago and well we decided not to big mistake but then again the food is fabulous so everything there is so good and I hope you get a chance to go out and enjoy...

First time eating here and I am regretting not knowing about this place years ago. When arriving it looked like an awesome drive in ice cream stand with a decent menu on display. I ordered the highly recommended Seafood Plate that consisted of Haddock, Shrimp and Clams w/belly that comes with fries and coleslaw. Very decent market price. I then went inside to sit for the temp was hot today. The inside had quite a few tables with things hung on the walls that made it look like a cozy diner and very was busy. It took no time at all to receive my order maybe 10 minutes at most and OMG the plate was just overflowing with golden brown seafood that weighed about 4 pounds. I could not wait to start eating this thing. I bit into my first scallop and first off they were huge and perfectly cooked and so sweet. The Haddock was nice and flaky and moist and the shrimp was huge and butterflied. I do not like clam bellies so went with extra shrimp. Everything was so amazing tasting and so much food for the price. If you are in the area or is definitely worth a travel it is a must stop and eat. Highly...

I went to Goldenrod today craving a fried scallop plate. I had never been to Goldenrod before but have heard good things. The scallop plate pictured was about $29.42 and was worth every penny. It had 16 large sized fried fresh scallops, a generous portion of fries, coleslaw and tartar sauce. The scallops were great: fresh, delicious large and plentiful. I was very hungry but could only finish 8 scallops, all of the coleslaw and about 1/3 of the fries they gave me. I took 8 scallops to go and plenty of the fries. I’ll easily get another filling meal out of it. The fries were some of the best I’ve had: crispy, golden and delicious. Perfectly fried and not greasy. The coleslaw was really good too and was finely minced which was new to me but pretty cool. The staff were pleasant and friendly. I will absolutely be going back here for seafood and their ice cream menu looks great too. I can see why Goldenrod is popular. If you’re looking for awesome fried seafood in Manchester, look no further. Also, there was lots of indoor and outdoor seating and a large parking lot which is...

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon around 4 pm for a late lunch/super early dinner. To my surprise, the parking lot was very full. I think a lot of people were there to get ice cream at that time. Ordered a plate of clam bellies from the counter outside. It took about thirty minutes for the order to be ready. Indoor dining was open, but there were probably like ten tables. No outdoor seating is available. I waited around in the super hot parking lot for the food to be ready. After grabbing my food, I drove down to massabesic lake (2 min away) to enjoy my food. I did notice that my food didn't feel piping hot when I got it. The meal came with my clam bellies fries, Cole slaw and tartar sauce. These were some of the largest clam bellies I've had so far!! Fries were crispy, the cole slaw was a strangely watery. Overall, good value for the price you pay. Maybe I just got a cold batch, but I did wish that my food was hotter when I got it. Worth a stop in Manchester if you have some time to wait for your food and if you're craving fried clam bellies.

3/2023 - The food continues to be fantastic. The dining room and (women's) bathroom continue to be kept nice & clean. Unfortunately, I think they have priced themselves right out of our budget (maybe others, too - that would explain why there was no wait). I ordered 2 lobster rolls a la cart (no fries or slaw), and a small side of bellied clams. No drinks, just those 3 items. $65.78. Frankly, we can enjoy a nice, sit-down dinner at T-Bone's for less, with a lot more atmosphere (don't misunderstand- the atmosphere here is perfect for a drive-in. Just not a drive-in with fine dining prices) * from a handicapped perspective, the 2 doors are extremely difficult when trying to get a wheelchair inside. It takes 2 of us to get our daughter's chair inside, and hers is a narrow (27") chair. This is NOT a wheelchair-friendly location. -‐---------------------- Always fantastic food at Goldenrod's!
