Rizza's Pizza is the new spot in town. I liked the look of the signage and their website and ordering platform so I was excited to have a new pizza and sub style takeout joint in the area that showed some promise. We've ordered here a couple times now and I must say the food is much more above the cut than I was expecting. It's still within that realm of takeout food you would expect, but the quality and flavors are just top notch. They're also incredibly kind and helpful. My first order the kind woman on the phone helped me order a custom calzone that ended up being far cheaper than expected. Today we ordered a Greek chicken salad, and they accidentally forgot the chicken. I gave them a call back and with zero hassle they had us come back and grab the chicken plus a couple consolation freebies. That's literally all you have to do to make me a loyal customer for life. Some places will fight you tooth and nail on things like that, but Rizza's made it right with zero kvetching or negotiating. I was too hungry to take pictures today, but we tried the Chicken Bacon Ranch sub as well and it was, bar none, the best sub of that type I've ever had in Manchester and it isn't even close. This place is my family's new go-to spot and I'm as happy as can be that they're now...
Read moreA real shame because they have good pizza, used to come a lot when it was Zoe's, but went for lunch on a Monday and the numbers seemed odd when they gave me the final price (more expensive than I had added in my head). I paid in cash, got a receipt, and while waiting for my pizza I added things up using a calculator and the pricing didn't come out right. I asked about it when I went to get my pizza once it was ready, and they said the prices on the board aren't accurate because they haven't been able to update them yet. Then they said I had to factor in tax and toppings, all stuff I had already done, but that they HAD to go by the register prices... to hell they do! You can't legally bait and switch people like that! They should have at least put a sign that said. "Please be patient with us while we update our menu boards, our prices have changed." Then I would have understood. Instead I had to make a scene and be "that guy" but I was hungry and had to get back to work, and they looked tired and stressed, so I told them I'd let it go for now but that if I went back there (which I won't) then their prices better be accurate. Congratulations, they...
Read moreWe stopped in on a Monday night before heading across to Lakeside Lanes for our bowling league. The old Zoey's is updated and more comfortable for dine in. We both ordered Steak and cheese subs (only available in one size) with mayo, I added extra mushrooms to mine. They were busy on this Monday night and had several large orders go out while we were there but our food came out in a reasonable time. Both subs were stuffed full of shredded steak that was well cooked and tasty. My "extra" mushrooms didn't even seem like a normal serving of mushrooms, which was disappointing. The bill for two subs and two sodas was $36, average for the times but available for half that price with a bigger sandwich at Market Basket. The counter staff was polite and friendly. We will be back just for the convenience factor but the food was good and that is...
