I was picking up an order here on mardi Gras eavning. The dining room had 8 of us waiting on orders, and the drive-through was full. Your first sign they are doing something right. Keep in mind this work crew gave up their night to enjoy the festival activities, so they could prepare freash hot food for every guest who chose to eat here. They were joking around with each other and having fun, putting love into what they were doing.the atmosphere and energy was welcoming and warm. All the while pumping out the orders. They could have cooked up a bunch or food in preparation for the rush after parades were finishing, but they did not. And never do. Therfore every customer truly was getting freash hot food. People complain sometimes for the wait, but then also want to complain when food is Luke warm.as though they are at wendys. It's fried chicken and fresh baked biscuits. It takes a min. You can't rush perfection. Despite one angry man who thought rules of no special orders on holidays ,didn't apply to him...the staff handle the situation superbly. The customer tried to say his kids were allergic to dark meat and need all white. Calling the staff idiots. When he is the idiot ,because all the chicken is fried in same oil. It would be like going to a seafood house and saying your allergic to fish but want some fried pickles. He was offered his money back, and apologized to for inconvenience of the company rule,and was still rude. The staff didn't let it get to them as they kept good moral and continued hustling to accommodate their customers. Much respect for the quality and hustle the crew executed like a beautiful dance on a busy night. Somethings are worth the wait, especially when those preparing the food care about what they send out. If you want fast subpar food keep wasting your money at other fast food joints. If you want food with love and soul in it,this is your place to go. Your wasting your money if you go anywhere else for fried chicken. And if you having a bad day,go inside to order. In my experience, this was by far, the best Popeyes location that I have ever done business with, and I have been to a lot of different Popeyes locations over the years. First and foremost, the friendly, hard working staff and wonderful management were exemplary. All other Popeyes locations should watch and learn!!! The lady tending the drive through was was the sweetest and friendliest person that I have ever interacted with at any Popeyes restaurant. From start to finish, she was very patient with us. Including our four year old, who wouldn't stop talking during the entire ordering process. She was also very thorough, and repeated our order back to us multiple times throughout the process, while also remaining calm, clear, and concise the whole time. I couldn't believe how fast our order came out. We were in and out in less than 10 minutes, and not to mention, our order wasn't exactly small. Unbelievably, our order was 100% accurate. Absolutely everything was there, including utensils, napkins, straws and condiments. The food was absolutely the best Popeyes we have ever had. It was all hot, fresh, generously portioned and fantastically delicious. I truly can't recommend this location enough. I would drive across the lake to eat at this location before going to any of the Popeyes locations near my home on the South Shore. In my experience most South Shore Popeyes locations truly don't deserve to be open, and their ignorantly rude employees don't deserve the job that they've somehow ascertained. Read moreTerrible customer service. Save yourself the frustration and go to another location. Went to pick up an online order in the drive thru and was told that they did not have my order because someone already pick it up. Said I did not pick up the order, already had paid for it, and had the receipt in the app. Was told they could not give me my food and couldn’t refund my purchase because it was ordered on the app. Asked to speak with a manager and was told by the employee at the drive up that the manager wouldn’t be able to help me because I purchased on the app and my order was not there. Went inside to speak with the manager was told by multiple employee that the manager was working and couldn’t speak with me because the manager was busy. After 20 minutes of waiting and being blankly ignored by the employees and the manager, my party and I stood at the counter blocked the line until we were acknowledged. Finally spoke with the manager who didn’t apologize for not acknowledging me earlier and stated that she had other customers to help besides me. She stated that she couldn’t give me a refund and that my order had to have been picked up because they check for a person’s receipt in the app when it is picked up. Never once did she or any other employee acknowledged that they accidentally gave my order to another customer. They never took responsibility for their mistake.
