The Daily BakeHouse — Restaurant in Manistee

We recently had the pleasure of visiting The Daily Bakehouse in Manistee, Michigan, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. This charming bakery offers an incredible variety of baked goods that far exceeded our expectations.

The owner’s kindness truly stood out—she generously gave us two complimentary loaves of bread, including one filled with delicious raisins and walnuts. We also purchased their chocolate chip cookies, which were nothing short of amazing—perfectly baked and packed with flavor.

This is the best local bakery I have been to in quite some time! Not only are their baked goods absolutely scrumptious (the cinnamon swirl bread and the gigantic cinnamon rolls are out of this world!), the lady behind the counter (owner?) is a sweetie also! I was there yesterday and it was very busy, however she maintained her calm, greeted everyone with a smile, and of course, how can you not be happy standing in a bakery, waiting for that yummy loaf of bread, sweet treat, or crunchy baguette to share with your family and friends! I am a bread junkie. I’m from Chicago and found this spot, by chance, on a trip up north. We have some good spots in Chicago but I have NEVER had bread as good as this. It’s untouchable. It has been 4 years since I last had it and I think about it more often than I should. Like I said, bread junkie. I always ask anyone passing through to grab me a few loaves.
