Read moreThis was our third time there. The previous two times we had ordered the chancho con yuca and both times was incredible, thick pieces of tender pork, a really great sauce, and the yuca; almost like a stew but served on a plate. This third time we brought our daughter because we wanted her to try this fantastic restaurant. We all ordered the the yuca with pork and were looking forward to what we'd had before. This time the pork had so much fat, we all had a decent sized pile of inedible meat on our plates, which was not right, it was almost like we were given the trimmings instead of the pork meat like we'd had before. We spent well over $100 between the three of us, beers, a few apps, and the plates chancho con yuca. We only speak English, and the server was nice but I don't think he understood when I tried to explain the piles of fat on our plates. My wife does not want to go back, my daughter does not want to go back, and while I would give it another chance I don't like eating alone. Sorry, Dos Camios, but you lost some regulars. Hopefully you can take this as constructive criticism. Whoever was cooking that night was not the same person who prepared out previous meals and giving us inedible meat was a...
Read moreI really wish I could give this place a better review. I had high hopes for it. I went with a buddy of mine who was also looking forward to trying it. Unfortunately, it wasn’t great.
The enchiladas in the appetizer we ordered were okay by themselves, but came drenched in ketchup, which ruined them. (Neither of us like ketchup.) I ordered the yucca pork, and though the meat was good, there were only two very small pieces; mostly bone. The rest of the dish was overloaded with yucca, which made it hard to finish. My friend’s meal was made wrong altogether and he didn’t like it at all.
It wasn’t just our experience. The folks at a neighboring table were also visibly frustrated with their meal.
Between disjointed service, high prices, and poorly coordinated dishes…we won’t be back. It’s unfortunate, because some of the flavors were okay, and the staff was polite…but they really need some help. Hopefully they can...
