I have heard good things about Mansfield National Golf Course, but my expectations were far exceeded once I played there! I played the course around mid-February and I expected the conditions to be very rough, but the fairways and teeboxes were all very well groomed and the greens... , oh man, the greens were emaculate. In spite of the cold and freezing happening at the time, you could tell the grounds staff had made a strong effort to maintain the greens and they were some of the best I've ever played anywhere in Texas and even compared to the course I played at a the iberostar in Mexico. Plus the clubhouse is very nice and updated and offers a full service burger restaurant. Overall Mansfield National is hands down one of the best courses in the DFW area and easily in my top 3 courses.

This was a nice area a nice Clubhouse to have an event in I was invited to a 70's birthday party and we had a great time there was plenty of room there was a cash bar the music was great the venue was just spectacular in the view was wonderful down the street there's a water park and a baseball field Auditorium it's a developing area there's lots of nice homes ponds a late not far away the Joe Pool Lake isn't far away we really had a great time I'm going to have to go back out that way during the daytime so I can see what I missed while I was driving at night I give this place a thumbs up

I give five stars for the quality of grasses throughout course, the difficulty, and the driving range, but it was definitely more crowded than I like, but I guess that’s expected when the place is fairly priced with notable course quality/difficulty. Friendly staff too! And a neat looking clubhouse.. Didn’t try the food, but it did look tasty! 👍🏼

It pains me to have to write this review. Honestly, I'm one of those people who hardly ever is frustrated enough to deal out a bunch of internet vomit, but in this case I will make an exception.

Living in Mansfield, this is one of our local courses, and is very convenient to where I live. (And many of the guys I play golf with.) The fact that the staff here runs what can best be described as a complete horse and pony show is a complete disappointment.

The staff, like most golf courses, will advocate to you every time you book with GolfNow that they would rather you just called them directly and made a tee time. This avoids charges for both the golfer and the course. Fair enough! I'm completely on-board with that. However, in the past months, when calling in to book tee times, somehow my tee time has magically vanished from the books and they just simply have no recollection of me ever calling the day before to book. This has occurred to me 3 times, and most recently with a large group of guys, many of whom drove over an hour across the Metroplex to play here. "Lucky for you guys, I guess we can fit you in somewhere, but it's probably better you call next time." So, the deal is, if you want to guarantee a tee-time, it looks like you'd better USE GolfNow, so that they have you in their computer system, and there is a record of it, because the staff at the book is simply too occupied to make sure that accurate tee times are recorded.

Given the above, I still didn't feel like getting on here and writing a review. That is, until I find out that my sister from across the country has been going back and forth with the Mansfield Staff trying to figure out for over a month where a gift card that she bought has gone to? Knowing that this was a local course for me, my sister called them and gave her information to have a gift card mailed to my house for my birthday. They charged her, but to no avail, the gift card never showed up. She followed up with the staff on the phone multiple times, and everyone she spoke to seemed to just pass the buck and act ignorant. Birthday was early March, fast forward to the end of April, and still no results. My sister had to call VISA to have the charge removed from her card, and she went a different direction.

I did provide 2 stars instead of one, because the facilities here are nice, the course is routinely in great shape, and I've always enjoyed it once I was past the desk and out on the course. Sadly however, I don't think I'll be back.

I'm sure that the Golf Pro and staff are huffing at me by now, sorry gentlemen, you earned it. Get your...

I'm leaving this review because I see that they're read and responded to. Course looks to be in beautiful shape. I just stopped in to Chip and Putt for a little bit in between appointments I had. Nice big undulating chipping and putting green, but only two cups cut in the entire thing. I personally found this incredibly annoying. Especially since there was one gentleman there occupying one of the holes the entire time putting from like 5 ft. So there was basically one hole open for everyone else to use. There's a club I was a member at in San Diego that had a similar size green and they would cut like 20 holes in it. That made it really nice to practice on. I mentioned my annoyance to two other people that were on the green and they agreed. I'm really not sure what the reasoning is but I'll tell you it's ridiculous. At one point there were seven people chipping and most of which having to stick a tee in the ground to have a target to aim at. It would really be an awesome place to practice if there were a dozen more cups cut in that green. I give 1 star because it's just...

Good:Overall layout of the course is very fun. Has a good putting area and nice range.

Bad: They force you to pay for a cart even when walking. The course is already pricey for local comps and forcing you to pay for the cart makes it worse. Pushy and rude Marshals. During a Sunday spring round, our group was playing on a 4h to 4h 10 min pace on a muddy cart path only day. Marshal would stop play on the hole to ask you to play faster due to holes open in front. ( when our group teed off the closest group was on the green of 4). Then at the same green forced the play through of the group behind us. The group of 2 was averaging being on the tee while we were on the green. Following the play through continued to ask us to increase pass of play with no groups on the same hole as us.

Tee boxes were extremely over grown. Fine on long par 4s and 5s, but if you wanted to take an iron off the box or during par 3s it was like playing out of the rough.

I would recommend playing other courses in dfw...
