Oh boy, where do I even start with the Mansfield Complex of Sports? Let me tell you, it was quite the experience. First things first, if you're a fan of hot dogs, you're in for a treat at their concession stands. I mean, they had everything you could ever dream of, as long as your dreams solely consist of hot dogs. Talk about culinary diversity!
Now, let's talk about the women's restroom. It was an adventure in itself. The moment I stepped in, I knew I was in for a wild ride. The word "nasty" doesn't even begin to describe it. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a secret training ground for aspiring horror movie set designers. And oh, the hand dryers? They were like those decorative ornaments you find in museums—just for show. Useless.
But wait, there's more! Brace yourself for the ultimate olfactory assault. The urine smell in the women's restroom was so potent that I thought I had mistakenly wandered into a public restroom at a farm. I could practically feel myself getting lightheaded, trying not to pass out from the overwhelming aroma. It was like a pungent symphony of regret.
And let's not forget about the umpires. Oh boy, those poor souls. They were so bad, it made me wonder if they were secretly playing a different sport altogether. Their calls were so mind-bogglingly terrible that I couldn't help but chuckle in disbelief. I mean, seriously, even a sleepwalking toddler could make more accurate calls.
All in all, my visit to the Mansfield Complex of Sports was like stepping into a bizarre alternate reality where hot dogs reigned supreme, the women's restroom was a horror movie set, and the umpires were in desperate need of a rulebook. If you're looking for an unforgettable, albeit hilariously terrible, experience, this place might just be your cup of...
Read moreOut at Mansfield Sport Complex for a tournament, and the umpire didn’t know the rules for 6u baseball game he was umpiring. Went to talk with tournament director Jay, don’t remember last name, and he said the call in question was called incorrectly. Went back up to talk with the Director, and again was tiled tolled again it was incorrect. Asked if they could change out umpires to someone who knows the rules and was told no, asked him to please speak with the umpire and was told they would, later confirmed that they had spoken with him. Talked to the umpire before our next game to apologize about the gutted discussion the first game, and asked if the tournament had come down, he said no. So know I’m even more furious, don’t lie to me. This is your tournament, be a man take care of the issues, and have a tuff conversation with you employees. Thats what being a manager or Director is about. If you can’t do the roll then let someone else manage it. Right know you are representing the Mansfield police and Firedepartmant that you are fund raising for. I work with no profits sponsor and donate to events all the time, this is defiantly one I would urge anyone looking to good to stay away from, I defiantly don’t want my name or company name associated with an organization like this.
If you need some advice on how to make your event more successful and a better all around event please contact me I’d be happy to consult you.
PS. I really hate that this event was tied to Police and Fire as I work with these groups of Men and Women on a daily basis. Reputatation...
Read morePoorly maintained, poorly prepared baseball fields for tournaments. The fields and facilities are structurally fine, but the field maintenance and preparation are among the worst in the DFW. The mounds are chewed up potholes into which loose sand is only occasionally kicked into by embarrassed umpires. There is a gully forming in front of the mound rubbers. There are only half width crooked chalk lines on foul lines, no running lanes or batters boxes whatsoever. The base distances are varied and set up wrong because some of the base slots are missing or are unusable so they just stick a base in whatever is closest. There are metal base tubes sticking out of the ground in running lanes which they appear to just yank out when they get really bad instead of fix. Plant some trees and put someone in charge of grounds and fields who has some basic knowledge of how to do it, and these would be...
