Hubby and I had an impromptu date night, since I already had reservations for what was supposed to be to be a girls night. The atmosphere is really nice. Live music wasn’t super loud. Musician played just right where we could talk yet hear him singing our fav old school jams. It was pretty cold inside, so I’ll be sure to have a sweater the next time I go. Our server was Bianca. She was SUPER sweet and amazing. 🫶🏾 “Love you Bianca!”We ordered drinks and an appetizer. I had a margarita and hubby had his fav- old fashion. We ordered the bison eggrolls. Drinks were pretty good. Eggrolls looked amazing, but lacked flavor. And the corn in them threw me off a bit. I was expecting a pop of flavor and spice. But I see where they were going with them. For our entrees, hubby had prime rib and I ordered my go-to salmon dish. Prices were pretty high, which I didn’t expect, but it wasn’t too crazy. When the food arrived, my salmon wasn’t as hot as I would have expected. It also lacked flavor. The sauce over it was more like a gravy, and not a light buttery sauce that you would expect for most seafood dishes. Hubby’s prime rib had a nice taste to it. I don’t like my steaks with a lot of seasonings, so this was perfect. It was pretty fatty, so what looked like a large piece of meat, was just full of fat. (And I understand the need for the fat to hold in the moisture and add flavor… but🫣this was a lot) We also ordered sautéed spinach and Brussel sprouts. They had a nice taste to them. Spouts could’ve had a little more flavor. When Bianca came back to check on us, we told her the food was good. However, there wasn’t much salt. She explained that when they first opened, customers complained about the salt content, so they removed the salt and became more salt-free. I said “yes I can tell”. 😂 While I appreciate the health conscious efforts, to pay what we were paying …. I needed a disclaimer on the menu. If it was there… I missed it. So I needed the server to explain that from the jump and ask if I preferred a more “seasoned” meal. 🤣Will I go back for a second try? Absolutely… the experience was amazing. Hubby and I had a great time. The crowd was nice. Is the spot black owned? If so, I’m happy to see my people with a spot that isn’t Cajun only and loud music. It was a nice sophisticated restaurant, grown and sexy crowd. Hubby got excited when he found out about the cigar bar. My next visit will be during happy hour, so I can try out a few more of the menu items. Everyone was nice, service was amazing. Give Bianca a raise!!! 👏🏾👏🏾Sis knew her stuff.. from drinks to the menu items and how things were cooked. I love it when the waitstaff is just as excited about the restaurant as the customer. It def makes a difference to the experience . 🫶🏾😊 Which again is why I...

I recently visited July 26th and up on arriving. I thought the valet what's handled pretty well, and as I approached the building, the building was beautiful once inside. We were greeted at the front door and it was also quite impressive. And then once we were seated, I noticed that the Silverware was spotty and also the glasses, and then we proceeded to order our appetizers. And unfortunately, the appetizers took about 30 to 40 minutes to arrive. I did not pay much attention to the time but it took a long time and my server came through. Multiple times within about a thirty minute period And never once acknowledged the fact that it was taking a long time and to go and check on things. She just kept walking by smiling.Eventually, I told one of the bus boys to go and check on our appetizer and they came within a few minutes. Once we started to enjoy the appetizers, I noticed that several of the settings were missing a fork or a knife so my guest asked for additional silverware and when it arrived he pointed out to me there was food stuck to the end of the fork. Again that was quite disappointing. We began to eat our appetizers and I noticed that we all ordered lamb. It was actually three people in our party but we ordered to appetizers. It was decent.Accept my lamb seem to be a little bit fatty, and a little bit tough. Overall, I felt like the appetizer. Was decent, especially considering it had a pretty good sauce. Finally, the main course came and we had steak. I forget exactly what we all had, but we all had steak. I had T-bone. I do remember that and quite frankly The steak was not a very good quality. I'm very high on quality and it seemed to be a little bit chalky if that's a good expression while chewing it, and it seemed to not have a whole lot of flavor unless you put sauce on it. (I recently cooked a T-bone steak from whole foods that was much better) I also ask if a medium steaks would come out with a pink inside And not a red inside and I was told it would be pink, but it came out quite red., But that was my fault. Because I have been in this industry for a while, and i've forgotten medium is usually Fairly red inside. As we continue to close out the evening I felt the food was mediocre. The service was decent. And then came an unfortunate mistake. Our waitress drop the set of plates right beside our table and the glass popped up on my guest feet, but everyone was okay. I meant to speak with my waitress before I left But I totally dropped the ball on that because I had some input, I wanted to give her, and I may even check this place out again, but this visit was somewhat of a disappointment. But the overall Experience with my guest went well.Hopefully things go much better next...

Our server was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and clearly dedicated to delivering outstanding service. However, my one-star rating reflects several serious issues that ultimately made this a deeply unsatisfactory dining experience.

This was my first time dining at this establishment, and regrettably, it will likely be my last. Upon being seated, I immediately noticed that my cutlery was covered in dried food, as though it had not been properly cleaned after a previous guest. This was not a minor issue, but rather a significant amount of residue that covered nearly a third of the back of the fork. It was an off-putting sight and raised serious concerns about the restaurant's attention to cleanliness.

Additionally, my tomahawk steak was overcooked, which was particularly disappointing given both the price and the high expectations for a premium cut of meat. The shrimp in my pasta were also overcooked, rendering them rubbery and unpleasant.

However, the most concerning issue occurred when I discovered a piece of glass in my drink, which I only noticed after sipping through a straw. This posed a significant safety hazard and is completely unacceptable.

To their credit, our server immediately recognized the problem, expressed genuine concern, and attempted to make amends by offering us dessert.

Unfortunately, the manager's response was far less reassuring. Rather than demonstrating accountability or empathy, they implied that such an incident was highly unlikely, subtly casting doubt on our claim. Their body language and tone suggested a lack of genuine concern, leaving us feeling more like an inconvenience than valued patrons.

We did not request anything free, a discount, or even ask to speak to a manager. The server had already done enough to address our concerns. However, given the circumstances, we declined the offer for dessert, especially after the manager's response.

To be clear, we weren't particularly interested in dessert, but the manager’s reaction soured the situation further.

I made sure to tip our server generously, as she did her best to mitigate the issues.

While the atmosphere was pleasant, the overall experience was ultimately unacceptable. Between the hygiene concerns, poorly prepared food, and the serious safety hazard of ingesting broken glass—coupled with the manager’s lack of accountability—this visit will be my first and last. Its really unfortunate because this place so close to my house. I will go to Town Hearth in Dallas. It is worth the trip and has a way better vibe better food and way better...

June 5th, the sun was setting... we knew the time would soon be upon us again... Dinner Time. What was it that we craved on this fateful night? We wanted Steak. We wanted Darkness. We wanted Wine. Where would we find all three? We searched... wading through the search results of chain restaurants and lies...finally it appeared... The Vault. What was this mysterious place? It was the answer. We entered, the atmosphere was dark, cool, and comfortable. We were relaxed immediately. Pleasant hostesses led us to our perfectly set table and the glow of the menus lit the way forward. Hannah appeared from the darkness, confidently welcoming us to The Vault. We were relieved to have a liason of her caliber to guide us through the preparations of our perfect night. She was well versed in every aspect of the menu, extremely kind and respectful, and effortlessly ensured that we had everything would could possibly need. Everyone taking care of guests at The Vault should follow her lead. She brought us a fine Daiginjo Sake, a lovely surprise to find on the menu. Then, we ordered the food. We began with the Lobster Mac and were immediately blown away. Cheesy, Savory, Perfect portion size... sipped our sake and in perfect time, the main course arrived. Pan Seared Duck & Bison Steak, both cooked absolutely perfectly. We chose medium rare for the duck since we take our steak blue. Take heed when I say that every...single...thing....on those plates... was incredible. The duck? Flawless. The steak? blue temp and charred on the outside. How? The chef is obviously blessed by the Gods. The pilaf? Astounding. The carrots? Magical. What ever is going on in that kitchen needs to be preserved. Humanity should deem this kitchen a Holy Land. Needless to say, we were taken on a journey that was out of this world. Our souls NEEDED this night. Everything was no short of PERFECTION. THANK. YOU. You are appreciated more than I can express. We can not wait to come back.

A fantastic high end local restaurant serving up an interesting flair of cajun influenced dishes. The lamb lollipops are a steal and well worth the price. Tender, succulent, spiced just right, so good you forget you're not a kid when you pick em' up just like a lollipop as you take a bite. Crab claws are also a fun rich buttery snack for those who like to make use of the hands. Add a dash of lemon and every claw is a rich flavor bite that begs for a glass of chardonnay. For the entrees, my party shared a usda prime aged tomahawk. It's cooked to perfect medium rare and the chef comes out table side for both some food and a show! The sides of fingerling potatoes and house vegetables are a fantastic mix of sides to round out the beefy tender steak goodness. The Snapper orleans though is chef's strong suit. a well balanced spiced snapper filet that is pan seared to perfection. One can taste that southern cajun influence and it is well represented in this dish. Flaky moist fish, topped with gigantic firm fleshed gulf coast shrimp. Bravo! If you have space left for dessert, the white chocolate brown pudding is rich, crunchy, chewy, a lovely mouthful in every bite. Share it with an after dinner coffee and it is a decadent pairing. Oh and I almost forgot to mention, the wine menu!!! The vault clearly has the best wine list in south of DFW. Some incredible hard to find bottles that are all very well priced. French wine lover? They have a fantastic puligny montrachet. American? The Justin isosceles is a bargain here for some incredible juice. Round it out with bubblies, the wine list has something for everyone. TL:DR- Food quantity is definitely meant to be shared and having a great group of friends is how we found to best enjoy the Vault as there is plenty to go around and share. The cajun influenced menu is well spiced and fantastic treat. The Vault is a very welcome addition to the fine dining scene here in Mansfield

My husband and I were looking for a nice local place. We made reservations here on a Friday night at 6pm. Upon entering we were greeted, asked if we had reservations, & the gentleman was getting ready to seat us until he saw a group of about 4 ppl behind us. I’m assuming they are regulars because he then asked the hostess to seat us, so he could sit these ppl right away. I thought this was very rude. I thought he was going to seat us and he replied, oh no she will seat you, walked right next to us and immediately sat these ppl. We sat and had a few drinks. Our waiter was great. Very kind, attentive, and helpful (wish I could remember his name). We ordered an appetizer, the crab fingers that are drenched in butter. Then we finally ordered our meals. My husband got the lobster. The waiter said it was a new dish. It was very salty & had way too much stuff on it you could barley taste the lobster (but then again this is just preference). We like to taste the lobster more than the sauce or fixings thats on it. I ordered the sea bass with their house potatoes and mushrooms. It was delicious. After we got done eating we had a few more drinks and ordered dessert, bread pudding. We did wait awhile for the dessert. The hostess came to our table and asked if we would like to move to the bar and if we were done eating. Which I thought again was rude. We reserved our table and were waiting on our dessert. I’m sure they needed tables, but we were paying customers, with reservations, and waiting on our dessert. We decided to get our dessert to go. To be honest, we won’t be coming back. It was our first time and were treated with service that was different from others. We would definitely rather drive out to Dallas, Fort Worth, and South lake.
