I will not be returning here, not just because the ice cream was basic, the “flurries” were not evenly mixed, leaving the bottom just plain ice cream.. I can deal with that but the ignorance of the employees will make sure we never come back. Just to briefly sum it up: we’re a family of 4, two of us got our order, the other two were waiting a while. I noticed that other people that ordered after us were getting their ice cream. I decided to go up and ask if our was ready. The girl looked over the receipt paper that they write the orders on and noticed that there was two orders that were not crossed off (assuming thats how they track it). She had an attitude about it but went on to make the order. The girl who took our order apologized about forgetting our order. After getting to the table, my daughter was a little upset as she thought she was getting soft served ice cream.. I offered to wait in line, but the line was really long so she chose to eat my ice cream. A few minutes later, the girl who made our order came out from the back room and I asked her if there was a way we could switch the order out for a soft serve chocolate ice cream, mind you it was a small and would of taken her two seconds to run back there and make it so we didn’t have to wait in line, instead she said to me “I’m not giving you a free one, you can wait in line, even if its long, what she ordered was labeled as handmade icecream.” LIKE WHAT?! My daughter is 10 YEARS OLD and did not realize, the employee who took the order should have corrected her when she ordered, it clearly written down on the paper as “soft serve chocolate cookies and cream” I am absolutely disgusted by the way this was all handled and we will not be returning. Do...
Read moreHello Dippy’s Custard & Ice Cream,
I have been coming to Dippy’s Custard & Ice Cream for years and often bring my grandchildren, as it is their favorite place right down the street from MeMaw and PePaws house.
I have never had negative words for this place, but after my experience I had with one of the workers, I am afraid to say I will be rethinking about stepping foot back in there. The workers have always been so friendly and I have gotten helped by so many benevolent young girls and boys.
However, one in particular was not very kind. My husband and I went on Sunday 8/10 around 1pm. The worker was a female with blonde colored hair and it was curly with her hair tied back. As soon as we came to the window, she did not greet us friendly and even rushed us as we were still choosing our ice cream flavors. She seemed very bothered by us being there. She made us feel very uncomfortable, was very short with us and even gave nasty looks to us when we were trying to figure out what toppings we wanted. In all my years coming here, I have never been given such disrespect. I pray the manager can pinpoint who this young lady was and have a serious talk to her about how she treats their customers. I am heartbroken, as this was our...
Read moreNot living in the area and only having been to Dippy's four or five times in my life, usually as with this visit out on a motorcycle run, I have usually just ordered a regular vanilla cone as that is a safe bet just about anywhere you travel to. With this being the last ride of the year and work being busy meaning more freed up cash I decided to try something I had never tried anywhere before since I did not know what it was. I asked a couple of the other riders what a Flurry was and was told that basically it was ice cream with candy mixed in. I had one person tell me it was kind of like a McFlurry that they sell at McDonald's but since I had never tried that either I still wasn't sure but decided to take a chance. A lot of the reason too that I wanted something different was because I had a lot of time waiting in line to look over the menu and see what else they had to offer so when I finally got to the window I placed my order which actually included two candies. The Flurry was good and the service was also but I do think it could have maybe used some whipped cream and cherry just to add a little more...
