I have been in and out over the last few weeks, and the management appears to have changed. I only used to visit a handful of times a year, but I find myself frequenting much more often due to the people, food and atmosphere change. The place is in the process of getting a much needed makeover, and is coming along great! The staff is very friendly, and make you feel at home.
Their breakfast was always the main attraction to me, but last night I went there for dinner on a whim. I was pleasantly surprised to see some old time favorites of mine on the menu, and ordered chicken croquettes, pickled beets and the beef and cabbage soup. Everything was delicious, and reminded me so much of comfort food and memories from my childhood that I had to call my Mother when I got home to tell her about it! The fresh cornbread was the best I've had, and I only wish my favorite BBQ joint could make it that good. Along with 2 pcs. of cornbread, they also included a fresh Italian roll, and a tasty cheese pastry. I've never had that much variety with a complimentary bread basket, and each piece was dipped and savored with our meals.
We left full and happy with leftovers and dessert, for a price I still can't believe. I've (regrettably) spent more $ at Dennys before, and no way was the food this plentiful, fresh or tasty. I sincerely hope the "new" Fireside catches on, and the dining room fills up like it should. With our busy schedules and the unbelievable value, I definitely see us becoming 2 day a week regulars, and staying away from those all-too-tempting fast...
Read moreAfter many friend recommendations I finally made it in to visit Fireside. So incredibly glad we did and it will not be our last! The atmosphere is cozy and warm with a fireplace going and seating comfortably spaced. The menu is creative and filled with many mouth watering options. We ordered French toast and a side of their thick and juicy sausage, and a featured special called “Freddy’s Benedict”. It included hashbrowns, covered with mushrooms and spinach, that were topped with hollandaise, two perfectly poached eggs and chopped bacon. Served with a perfect side portion of cheesy grits. Everything was fresh, tasted delicious, and seasoned exactly how it should be. Service certainly did not fall short and it was obvious this is a family owned establishment as many customers interested with each other as such and those that did not staff certainly made feel like family with their warm smiles, endless attention and sincerity. We were visiting for breakfast, but could not help but notice their attractive dessert case . it was very apparent that the delectable choices were all homemade. Our friendly waiter did share with us that everything is made in house by his uncle. we will certainly be back to enjoy lunch and a dessert at...
Read moreMy sweetheart and I came into the restaurant on a Sunday after church hours(lunchtime) and they told us 15 minutes of the wait. Being the first time we ate here, we were so excited so we decided that wouldn’t take long and it didnt! Took maybe 5-10 minutes tops! So i go in and sit down and first thing I notice is I dont have air blasting on me! (Seems like every place I go has air blasting on me). The second thing we noticed was the customer service! WOW! Our waiter’s name Durson(sorry for the spelling) but he was outstanding! Since it was our first time there, he treated us as if we were always going there! A normal family restaurant! We get our check and the price was great for the quality of food and love they put into these meals! Great portion to price ratio! We say thank you and he says God bless! Normally i don’t hear that in public places but for him to say that to us, really made us feel like home! He had the nicest smile with the greatest attitude! He made us want to come back again! Good job fireside restaurant for taking on such a gentleman who was so patient with us! Keep it going!! We will be back! Thank you for the service and great food and a...
