Pla-Mor Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Maple Valley

We are semi regulars and have always had at least good good and service. On August 15th 2017 at approximately 5:30 p.m. we arrived and tried to order drinks and possibly get menus and have dinner. Only to find out the person behind the bar was her first night and didn't know how to even work the register let alone any of the other skills that were required as a bar employee and there was no curb service to the people waiting on the tables in the bar. My wife had to actually go to the bar and wait and ask for our drinks and had to tell her how to make them. Keep in mind they were not very busy. But did notice that her 2 friends were getti g excelant service. Go figure. Then when we were ready to order our food she could not help us she told my wife she had to go to the kitchen and order from the cook. The cook was almost just as lost as person running the bar running around in circles even though she was not that busy my wife asked for the condiments we were supposed to have with our meals and the cook was very belligerent and negative and saying she had a couple of to-go orders and my wife would have to wait. Excuse me we are customers already in the bar with our food finally I think we deserved first preference. Finally adding to that that kind of attitude and negativity and lack of customer service is not necessary nor appreciated. As we prepare to leave we asked for our bill and it took a credibly long period of time without any results and we finally had to go to the bar and requested several times to get our tab. Now the next item to add misery to the issue was we had ordered a double drink which is that place and most others is just an extra charge however this particular night they decided it was correct to charge us for double drinks not double shots so we took a couple of moderate well drinks and they are we were charged twice as much as what they were supposed to be during happy hour.we don't go out to get attitude and lack of service. We are the ones calling the shots not the other way around. Customer service..... not. Burnt fries bad good to add on to insult and injury. What happened pls not? Do you always hire the incompetent to run your business and peek time with no supervision or talent. We are going to have to find somewhere else to dine after all these years! I was going to go with 4 stars because, after all, it's a dive bar. But then I realized that for a dive bar, this one hits way above its class.

The atmosphere is exactly what you should expect, except the bathrooms are better than any "dive" I've been to.

The waitress was very pleasant and helped with advice on menu choices (although I don't think there are any bad choices).

The menu has ample variety, and it's clear you are not looking at a typical bar food selections.

If your reading this on Google, then you surely have seen the pictures. When our food arrived we were transported. The comfy welcoming atmosphere melted away into a flood of culinary delight. I would be pleased to have this meal in the finest of establishments, but I'll eat in the back room of the local gas station if that's where it's available. We had the Bleu Burger and Fish Tacos. Both were perfectly cooked, nicely presented, and ample portions. There were fresh ingredients and amazing flavors. I can't wait to explore more of the menu. I almost forgot. I. Wasn't forced to consume a PBR or Bud Light. There were at least 2 acceptable IPAs available, and the bill left me wondering how long they will hang on to pricing reminiscent of the previous century.

I MISSED IT! I REALLY MISSED IT!: MONDAY NGHTS' PRIME RIB NIGHT! Served near 4pm, if you're not there during that time period, it will be ALL GONE BY 5:30-5:45PM! I arrived too late, I hadn't eaten, my stomach was empty and achy and I decided on the "bar" menu...I got a Shrimp basket with about 6 or was it 7, PLUMP, very large & juicy Fried Shrimp & great tasting weave cut fries, and a Cocktail sauce that Drained my sinuses for a week! Talk about a 6 alarm fire! I Washed it down with my favorite bourbon & sour, and coke back...it was a very good meal. Not the PRIME RIB tho that nite, but it is an outstanding meal: Prime Rib 14oz, salad, baked or fries for $26 incld tax! ...but that's now only 6days away again...so how about you show'in up at 6pm...I'll buy you a drink,( a waterback!) but you won't get any PRIME.....I'LL have eat'en yours by then! Hah! Other great food is served though...check out the specials and see what...
