Jaspers Dine & Dip — Restaurant in Marathon Township

Stop in today for dinner, prices are on the high end ( over $35 for a 1/4 burger and under cooked fries, yes that's on the high end!!!!!!)and the food wasn't that good. Hell you could go to a fast food joint and get more food for less money and it would even taste better. The place was extremely warm. The mustard on the table ended up having a clog in it and when I tried using it it ended up splattering all over the place including on me (which ended up staining and destroying my shirt). Good thing I had an extra shirt with me. The fries weren't done and after waiting over a half an hour for a burger and fries I sure wasn't happy. The fries ended up with a strange flavor ( not good). I honestly will never go back not even for ice cream. And yes we did leave very soon after receiving the food because it we didn't finish eating it. Not good and I personally think if this is what people think of as wonderful tasting food, than they should really get out a little more to better places. Me personally I don't mind paying for good food, your food is not good!!!!! Apparently they don't like any other comments other then the good ones because they always have an excuse on why it's someone else's problem and they are just the best (NOT). LEARN TO LISTEN AND USE THE CRITICISM TO MAKE YOUR PLACE BETTER INSTEAD OF...

I'm a little worried about leaving this comment because it seems the owners cannot take constructive criticism... but here we go...

Been wanting to try this place since it opened. Finally got to try it this past weekend. Walked in for ice cream, took a menu to look because we were thinking of getting dinner later. After seeing those prices, we won't be dining here. For being a small town restaurant the prices are on the verge of "gouging". I've been in the restaurant business for over 20 years and never in my life would I charge $14 for a burger that doesn't come with fries. The bathrooms being outside overall is a bad idea. Walking in to the restaurant although it seemed clean, it was extremely warm in there. I wouldn't be able to enjoy my overpriced meal if we were to dine there. Some staff seemed irritated, maybe the heat?, others seemed really happy and nice.

Honestly, just shocked at what Jasper's was for being in Otter Lake.

I hope this restaurant can make it because the village does need a good place to eat.

But it seems that every one I know is saying the same thing... at this rate I highly doubt Jasper's will cut it.

Stopped in for a quick bite with the family. There was less than 4 others dining so we thought, quick and easy... Waited FAR too long for our food. We all got hamburgers, the waitress was slow and messed up our drink orders and didn't offer refills. This was when they first opened so we figured they were new and still figuring things out. Gave it another chance, and got ice cream, the same waitress working, slow, not very welcoming did not greet us, and seemed confused. Ice cream is good but expensive. Not a bad establishment, but man the owner is SO unprofessional after looking at the replies to other reviews. This restaurant could be top notch if she showed an ounce of professionalism and maturity. I would not recommend this place not only due to poor leadership, hostility , and the inability to accept criticism but also for the non welcoming staff and slow service. This place has potential to change. Hopefully this will encourage them to...
