Googles been asking me to make a review of here and I came today expecting great things but a couple things caught me off guard.
Lack of signage. There's one sign with 4 rules so you would expect an easy going/relaxing experience and yet constant blowing of whistles and screaming at people for violating invisible rules that aren't listed anywhere created a extremely toxic environment. Iv been to a million lakes in this great state and have seen community pools with less tension from staff and beach goers.
2.Whistles are for EMERGENCIES, not small trivial things. The staff using them non stop is going to lead to a potential real emergency where no one is going to pay attention. It's a Hazzard.
Bad Customer Service. When you have a business of any kind you need a couple things one is people in charge with good attitudes as well as good customer service that match the business so people feel good and want to come back. There are a million things you can say with a good tone for any issues without losing a customer and possibly establishing a new connection in the process. You do not scream at anyone you wish. You do not behave like everyone is below you. Not when your running a business you want to thrive. You don't go back to a store when the clerk was rude do you? No.
If you want rules to be followed put up signs and just be respectful to your customers and the guests there by having clear rules like any other beach no one likes conflict. People go to a beach to relax and be left alone, not get stressed out...
Read moreThe campground itself is nice, with lake front sites available. However if you have children I would watch out for an older man (I think hes one of the managers). He very rudely drove to our campsite in his golf cart early in the morning, and accused our 8 year old son of "intentionally clogging the toilet" by putting the cardboard to a toilet roll in the toilet. Not only did our son not do this, its never the right thing to be yelling fuming with rage at a young child. When I attempted to discuss the situation with the man, he drove off while I was mid sentence. This shows not only is he rude, but also he doesn't know how to act like an adult and lacks compassion. He left our son in tears for something he didn't do. My wife also brought my son to the managers desk to discuss this, and the man refused to apologize and told our son "he can stop crying now". Luckily the mans (I believe wife) was there also and even she said she doesn't know why hes acting like that. I give credit to the wife for being respectful and compassionate. As for the man, if you encounter him watch yourself as hes a hot head and seems to lack empathy. If you are the owner of this campground I would consider changing my review if I was informed of a relevant staffing change or received an apology. The campground was...
Read moreThe older managers here are absolutely horrible. My diving partner and I had an issue with these people a short time back and now we are banned from the campground. We were doing a night dive, which we had informed the younger managers about and as we were coming out of the water, the older lady came at us yelling and accusing us of camping without permission. When we told her we were simply diving there and had permission, she literally said “we don’t tolerate anyone talking back to us.” We even tried to resolve this issue with them and had the Mayor of the town there to mediate but all they did was lie and talk over the Mayor until another argument ensued. To further this headache even more, last weekend my diving partner went to a different area of the lake that’s not even associated with the campground and the old man came all the way over on his golf cart and said that my partner couldn’t be the and that he was trespassing. When my partner told the old man that he wasn’t even on campground property, the old man stormed away and told my partner that he had a restraining order against him, which he does not. Divers are being treated very poorly, older managers are seriously rude. Will never frequent that...
