The new “Pho Steak Bowl” in Margate is very close to Coral Springs, it’s just over the border. Pho Steak Bowl 7462 Royal Palm Blvd Margate, FL 33063 It advertises itself as Vietnamese-Chinese, but the menu is 90 percent Vietnamese — the chef spent some 27 years cooking in Chinese kitchens. There is a small Chinese section of the menu (attached photos), and it’s American Chinese — someone needs to order the General Tso and report back. The menu is mostly pho and soups, rice noodle salads, wok noodles, bbq over rice dishes, and fried rice. I did not order the pho, but I asked to taste the broth, it’s highly clarified, nice but subtle spicing, not over the top with the star anise. Fresh spring rolls (Gỏi cuốn) are very good but I was even more impressed with the fried ones (Chả Giò) which are very similar to the kind I used to get in New Jersey, they are very full of pork, glass noodle, taro, and I detected shrimp as well. Their special mixed fried rice is very good, has a light fish sauce taste, they are using the “crab” brand, will bring you more sauce to the table if you want. The sriracha they serve at the table is a Vietnamese brand I’ve never had before, it’s very good, has a totally different flavor profile than the US Rooster brand, uses bird chiles and has a stronger MSG hit to it. A very welcome neighborhood addition that is family operated, it’s formerly a Chinese restaurant (was Asian Grill) and can easily accommodate a medium sized group. It’s in a older shopping plaza in a residential area with not too many good options close by so it should do well with takeout and sit down business.

Wow! So happy they opened in my neighborhood. You can find Pho Steak Bowl off of Royal Palm Boulevard at the west end of the Royal Palm Court shopping plaza. This was previously a full service Chinese restaurant before they opened in May. They now focus on Vietnamese Food and select Chinese favorites. I met my girlfriend here on a rainy Saturday night for dinner. I was impressed with how clean and modern the restaurant looked. You choice of seating includes booths and tables. The menu is divided into appetizers, chef specialties, rice entrees, stir fried rice noodles, pan fried crispy egg noodles, beef and chicken noodle soup, vermicelli, and drink and desserts, I started with a refreshing lychee juice. The drink arrived with lychee swimming in the juice, so delicious! We ordered the (4) Vietnamese Fried Egg Rolls for our appetizer. They were great but I could not stop eating the pickled carrots that they were served with. The sweet tang of the carrots was so addicting that they kindly brought us a plate of carrots on the house. For dinner I had the shaken beef served with rice. I loved everything I ate here and it was all presented so beautifully. They are currently having a summer special, buy two orders of pho noodle soups, and get two egg rolls or Thai tea. The menu is vast and I look forward to working my way through it.

Try there first time today, was excited to hear of a Viet restaurant close by. Unfortunately, it was a huge let down. Ordered spring roll, the sauce was off somehow not like how it usually should be, wasn’t good. Next the shaking beef came out it was disappointing to look at as it doesn’t come with the usual fried rice but white rice instead. Ok I ask about it and they brought it out, except they charge it extra into the bill. On top of that the beef wasn’t flavorful, another let down. The hostess did compensate with some extra egg rolls to go, so that’s something. Services is subpar by waiter, have to hail him down every time needed something. Then to top it off, they gave me check with change in it thinking that I paid already when I haven’t even paid? I was honest and gave them back the money and pay for my meal. Not sure I’d revisit though, the drinks was alright.

Jan 2024, came here with two friends on a Saturday night and the place was not that busy so we got seated right away. Inside there is plenty of seating, and the floors and tables are kept very clean, so I will give them 5 STARS for that. The young man who waited on us was very pleasant, but as a server he wasn't that good. To start, they ran out of forks so they gave us plastic forks. Our Server told us the forks were being washed and would not be ready in time for us to use. How crazy is that. We started with Appetizers, Spring Rolls, and Steamed Dumplings. Then our two Main dishes were Chicken and Broccoli, then Lemongrass Chicken. The Spring Rolls, and Dumplings came out first. Then my Main dish of Chicken And Broccoli came out. However, our friend's Lemongrass Chicken dish came out 15 to 20 minutes after our dish. We started to eat our meal because we didn't want it to get cold. We gladly shared our meal with our friend who was starving. If the owner is reading this review you should know better than to space out the dinner meals. All Main dishes should be brought out TOGETHER, NOT 15 - 20 minutes apart. We were not happy and complained, and you would think the restaurant would give us an accommodation or pay for the Lemongrass Chicken, but NO Offer. Honestly, we will not be back here to eat because of the...
