Tip Top is the bee's knees! I love this spot. It is in a very sketch area but the donuts are crack and the bagels are life . I miss New Jersey bagels. This spot has the next closest thing. Before, we used to frequent only Hoboken Bagel on Sandy Plains, now we will be adding this to our list, especially for the bagels. These yeast donuts are better than Krispie Kreme and fresher than Dunkin Donuts lol which is why I probably see one closed down next to it. The cashier was very friendly and it appears to be family ran and operated. I didn't make the $4 card limit on orders, so she told me to pick out one thing, then she gave me two free things to make up for it! (One for my son too). I like the chocolate frosted and cinnamon raisin bagel with strawberry cream cheese.

Would have been five stars, but the cappuccino machine was broken. I love the owner's (I assume) no nonsense approach to serving customers. Do not misunderstand me, she is pleasant and courteous, but also to the point. Probably a little loud for some, but I think that's because of the acoustics of the building. This is very "mom and pop" compared to anywhere else. I love it. There's definitely not enough of these businesses available. The turkey, egg and cheese on a toasted everything bagel was delicious. A little too juicy from the turkey. Much better than too dry. The donut was Tip Top, as always. I wish this place was on my way to work. Still delicious!

Fabulous customer service! I’m from Cali where it’s hard to find a bad doughnut & since moving to Atlanta… a decent doughnut is almost impossible to find! These ladies are super sweet & run an immaculately clean shop!! The doughnuts are always fresh & probably the closest thing to home that I’ve found… but come early because they WILL run out šŸ¤¤šŸƒšŸ½ā€ā™€ļø I usually also get the croissant breakfast sandwich which is definitely better than most fast food breakfast sandwiches! They also have plenty of drink options, something for everyone.

I am hard to offend in general. The 4 employees I spoke with here this morning drove me to write a negative review which I have never done. My wife ordered the donuts and got me a cup of coffee. The kids wanted eclairs and we were excited to have donuts which is a special event for us. This place came recommended. There was a little confusion about the costs when my wife came back and I was also curious why my medium coffee cup was only a little more than half full. We ate, i drank my coffee, we were relaxed and satisfied. As we were leaving I went back over to see if I could get a refill on the coffee. I was told there are no refills. I said, it would be nice to get a little more coffee as my cup had not been filled when we ordered. It all went down hill from there. Poor communication, not listening to the customer. It really wasn’t a big deal but apparently it was for them as we were informed coffee is expensive and apparently their assessment was that I was not telling the truth about the amount of coffee I received. Basically calling me a liar. ā€œYou say your cup wasn’t full but you drank it allā€ Sure, I get that. I commented that my wife also had been told one thing regarding cost by the girl didn’t actually do that. They said, if there is a problem you can actually pay the other .15c for the water glass that ā€œwe gave youā€. Well by all means I will pay for that as I am not trying to get away without paying for what I am required to pay for. 10 minutes later we left, nothing had changed after I was adamant I wanted to pay for what I owed. They were adamant that things were fine but that they agree that I shouldn’t come back. I’m sorry, but Dunkin Donuts is locally owned and operated as a franchise store and they would never have treated us as though we were trying to rip them off over 1/3 of a cup of coffee. We will not go back to this establishment. The donuts are nothing special either. They are not horrible but they are also not great. Donut Dollies has great donuts and the staff are thoughtful and...

These are some of the best, freshest donuts in the area. They make them fresh all morning long and the flavors are typically spot on. They aren't teeth-stingingly sweet like most chain donuts. They have a light and airy texture with a slightly resistant crust...perfectly crafted. They typically have a lot of flavors available, with personal favorites being the eclair/long John, Boston cream, and the chocolate frosted. Their coffee is just OK, but it gets the job done.

Prices are very reasonable and expected, and you'll think you're getting a great deal if you are used to paying city prices.

All that said, this is a popular place. It also doesn't hurt that local celeb Alton Brown has named this spot as his favorite local donut shop. The caveat is that you will typically be waiting in line, sometimes for 5+ minutes depending how busy they are. I've also only been once or twice when they have both registers open. Usually it's just one, so the line is longer than it really should be.

And finally, their postdd hours are really a generalized suggestion. They will close early if they run out of donuts (as most places do, which is fine), but as others have said their 5am opening time is a vague goal moreso than a set objective. Obviously it's pointless for them to open if the donuts aren't ready, but don't expect them to unlock the doors much...

Quiet as its kept the owner has changed a while ago for those who have mentioned it doesn't taste the same or the prices were jacked up. The price doesn't bother me, however the service and quality are giving red flags. My son loves tip top and we frequent there a lot. Yet over the last couple of months, I would say since June, less and less options are available when we get there around 720-730. For the longest I thought they opened at 7am so I didn't complain. After actually reading the sign today I asked to confirm their opening time and question why donut holes haven't been available since summer and why it's less ready everyday if they open at 630. She proceeded to yell and over talk me, very argumentative for no reason as I asked politely. That's all fine, but at the end of the day, the old owners never had any issues and kept 5 star ratings only FOR A REASON. Idk what time they opened before, but that was in 2015 I started going there around 7am, and everything was fresh and ready to go. The quality and service is failing significantly.

Update: Your price doesn't bother me as I said in the beginning. All of what you said maybe true yet the poor quality and service I mentioned you pretty much confirmed. Never is it okay to yell and treat customers poorly when they are spending any amount of...
