Came here for a quick bite and wanted to try out the brisket. I got a brisket biscuit, a cup of black bean soup, and a side of the chicken gravy. The waitress brought out a little plate with 2 house made jellies, strawberry and mango, and mentioned they were for the biscuit. When the food came out, there was a side of BBQ sauce. I was then confused when I opened the biscuit to try the brisket first without the sauce, only to find it alresdt drenched in sauce. The sauce had even soaked into both sides of the biscuit, so I wasn't sure how I was supposed to try the biscuit with the jelly. The BBQ sauce was sweet and vinegary, which was good, but it masked and overpowered any flavor that was smoked into the meat. The brisket was nice and tender and juicy. I tried the jellies on their own, and both were good and not overly sweet. I ate the brisket separately and then tried the smoked chicken gravy on the biscuit. The "gravy" was good, but it was more like chicken soup and thin and watery. Not what you think when you hear gravy. The black bean soup was really good. The salsa puree on top when mixed in was perfect.

I also got a "smores" canned coffee. It mentioned cinnamon as an ingredient, and I was thinking that's what they think brings the Graham cracker flavor to the drink, but it was overpowering and all you could taste. It was nice they offered oatmilk as a substitute for creamer.

I would definitely go back and try something other than the brisket.

The staff didn't seem very friendly. I'm also not sure whose idea it was to make an all female serving staff walk around with "Got Pancakes?" on their shirts, right across their chests. Doesn't really match the family vibe they seemed to...

I was a regular for breakfast and really enjoyed their food. However today's visit was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. I will say the wait staff has always been friendly and have never had a problem with service. The food and management is another matter. We arrived and ordered our food. I will admit my order was not typical however asking for cheese on toast and extra crispy bacon should not cause issues in the kitchen. I even heard our server explain my order when she told the kitchen. The food took nearly 30 minutes to arrive. 3 tables were seated and left in the time it took to get our food. when we received it my bacon was basically raw and they had essentially made me a grilled cheese sandwich. I asked them to cook the bacon longer. which again came out limp and under done. The third time the bacon was still not crispy. I ate the now cold food and was given the check for the full amount with no offer of giving a discount or compensation. I payed the bill and left. I eat out a lot. (often twice a day) I review restaurants and often push for local businesses to succeed. I prefer "mom and pop" to chains and hope my reviews encourage people to give restaurants business. This however is not one of those reviews. I hope that the owners work to improve the food quality and strive for good customers satisfaction. Today was proof that this is not currently the case. One last recommendation, make sure the smoker is not causing the patrons discomfort. I was in the restaurant at one point where my eyes were watering due to the smoke in the dining area. I do hope...

Good food, but cannot compare to Atlanta brunch locations. Also note that the Yelp check-in offer is no longer valid.

My girlfriend and I stopped at Crooked Tree Cafe before a morning hike at Kennesaw Mountain. The place has a small private parking lot, which I could see filling up during peak hours. Inside, the cafe is very cute - homey decorations with good amount of seating (including booths).

The friendly server seated us right away, and we ordered the Smokey Scramble with Brisket, Horchatta French Toast, and a cup of coffee.

Smokey Scramble with Brisket - The dish came with a side of toast, butter, and a selection of jam (pineapple and blueberry). It seems that trying brisket from Texas ruined all other brisket for me. The brisket scramble was good, but slightly disappointing. I had too high of expectations. I think my favorite part of the dish was the homemade pineapple and blueberry jam. So good!

Horchatta French Toast - I think it tastes like standard french toast with some extra cinnamon. Very average french toast - soft and soggy like classic french toast. Nothing too exciting.

Overall, the food was A-OK. Very average brunch, but the jam sets them apart from some other...

Save & share this for your next best breakfast in Marietta, Georgia! 📍 If you’re ever in the mood for some Tex-Mex style breakfast with a touch of southern comfort, then Crooked Tree Cafe is the spot for you! This hidden gem is situated in Marietta, just 5 minutes away from the downtown area. I did not expect to love this place so much. The restaurant holds a traditional diner setting, but oh boy are their dishes out of this world! The horchata French toast is amongst my favorite from the menu due to the layers of crème that they spread all over the bread. It’s a great add on to any of your entrees. They also have seasonal items that are worth trying out. For instance, they recently had black bean soup for spring and it was *chef’s kiss* 👌🏼 When I tell you that this is one of Marietta’s best kept secret, it’s pretty up there. So give it a chance whenever you’re around the area. I’m sure it’ll be an instant hit! 🥰 . . . #georgiaeats #breakfast #breakfastclub #explore #explorepage #fypfood #fyp #fypシ #happyplace #travelvlogger #traveltheworld #yummyfood #foodietiktok #traveltiktok #happy #explorefood #wanderlust #foodblogger #brunchideas #brunchtime #texmex

Smokey Scramble with chicken is an excellent start to the morning. Including light onions, heavy spinach, fluffy scrambled eggs and dark meat chicken with a very unique "Alabama Barbecue Sauce" makes a great breakfast hash and includes a biscuit with two wonderful jelly options Peach and Blueberry. The waitress was very friendly and the food hit the table like lightning.
