China Wok — Restaurant in Marion

The best Chinese food in Marion/Carbondale area. I always have a great experience here, but tonight's experience was great enough to make me want to write a review of how exceptional they are. For starters, their food is great. I usually get general tso's chicken, but this is one of the few places I'm comfortable trying something new as I never regret it. When picking up, they're always very kind and quick and to top it off, my food is always ready and hot by the time I walk in. (I'm usually a few minutes early.) Tonight, though, I came in with my 6 month old. All things started earlier applied, but they wowed me yet again with their amazing customer service. They got me out of there real quick and the cashier even offered to carry my things out so I didnt have to carry a 25+ lb. carseat and a bag of food. When I got around to sitting down with my meal, I realized that theyd given me an extra side of rice free of charge and that the shrimp rolls were HUGE. WHAT -A-RIPOFF !!! I recently ordered off of the daily lunch menu at China Wok and the pricees are ridiculous. $10.00 for a practically non existent size lunch portions..the soup is a half cup sized portion in a tiny size styrofoam bowl. The main entree is a small size round plastic bowl.. The broccoli was so hard I had to throw it away and all was left was rice and a few bites of tough chicken pieces. I've been buying from China Wok over 16 yrs and I never had one complaint untill now.. They need to close up shop or serve bigger size portions for the price they charge . NEVER AGAIN. !!! Very dissatisfied with their service. My house normally loves their food so we tried there new delivery system. Order was placed around 8pm and set to deliver at 9. At 8:45 the order was cancelled unexpectedly. I call to find out why my order was cancelled without reason only to find out it was cancelled because there was no delivery driver there for the night. I then asked if I could just come pick up my order since I figured it was almost done again 15 min before delivery but he said the order was already cancelled and I would be charged again. At this point I just said forget it. The best part is they say the money won't be returned to my card for 3-10 business days. Won't be ordering here again if service...
