Ive been eating at Tackett's for almost 2 years now and all i can say is....What happened????? There has always been a couple things that bother me. Like the beans and mac n cheese is store bought, not homemade. They spend SOOOOOOO much time and effort making AMAZING BBQ MEAT but then they slack on the sides and the sauce....Oh the sauce....Its nothing but Sweet Baby Rays. If you look in their stock room when they leave it open you can see all of the items I have mentioned above. Im not against using store bought, but dont charge me homemade prices for it. The corn bread bake is amazing though....try it...trust me. The straw that broke my camels back is the loaded spud. This was my favorite thing to order for a long time now. It use to be this massive potato overflowing with amazing pulled pork, cheese, sour cream, butter, and seasoning. It was a MAIN DISH in itself. The last 3 times i ordered the spud it was this tiny, dry, pitiful looking spud with half the pulled pork for the same price! What happened to you guys? You use to be...
Read moreI got married in October of 2016, and as I was searching for a caterer for my 130+ guest event. I wanted good Southern BBQ at an affordable price. I ran across Tackett's when searching for "BBQ restaurants near me", and immediately started up a Facebook conversation with the owner to ask questions about catering. He was exremely helpful and answered all my questions - he also encouraged me to stop in the restuarant to try out the food - which I did a few days later. I was NOT disappointed! The food was very reasonably priced and SO delicious! After having my family also try the food, we all agreed we had to have it for the wedding! When I told people who tried the food how much we paid for the catering, they were shocked! Such GREAT food for a GREAT price. They were also extremely helpful through the whole catering process. I HIGHLY recommned both their restaurant and their catering services!
PS - They have the BEST mac n' cheese and the smokiest baked beans I've...
Read moreDecided to drive out to this business today. It shares space with a drive thru. I ordered a brisket sandwich which had a small amount of brisket compared to most places. It had a little smoky flavor but was a little sour tasting. It came with coleslaw which was slightly creamy with a sweet taste. Also had the mac n cheese which was made with spiral pasta and white cheddar cheese, this was the non-baked version. Very tasty. Also had the corn bread bake, it was their version of corn pudding. It was a little moist but drier than moist and lighter than most versions. Also had the baked beans which had chopped onion, pulled pork in it, had a sweet taste to them. They were definitely the best of the...
