Yummy Yummy Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in Marion

This is my favorite restaurant in Marion. No, favorite in Virginia. No wait, this is my favorite restaurant in the United States of America. No--favorite restaurant in the world. I have to eat here at least once every time I'm in Marion. We stopped by on our way home from Myrtle Beach and I was happy to have more of the awesome sushi rolls--in Myrtle we were looking for sushi but could only find overpriced hipster joints, so if you want good sushi go to Yummy Yummy and don't mess with the hipster joints. YY has the best sushi in the world except for maybe Jiro's sushi, but for that you have to reserve a year in advance, fly to Japan and pay a fortune, so again you should just stick with YY. Our waitress was so nice and friendly, I didn't catch her name but we saw Amanda who is so kind, and the sushi chef who is great but I didn't get his name either. Kelly was away unfortunately, she used to let my daughter play with toys there when my daughter was little. More recently when I took my daughter and her best friend to Marion they liked Yummy Yummy so much they asked me to take them back again the next day instead of finding a place to eat in Abingdon, which was good for me. The tempura vanilla ice cream is rad, we all had that for dessert. If I lived in Marion I would save money so I could eat here every day. I want to be the spokesman for Yummy Yummy. If I ever become president I will hold meetings with world leaders in Yummy Yummy so we can enjoy sushi and tempura vanilla ice cream and work toward...

For such a small town, and in rural Virginia, you'll be surprised to find quite satisfying sushi and hibachi. I've traveled part of the world, and have yet to find a place that satisfys so consistently. Would recommend all of their sushi as I have had all they had to offer, specifically their Spicy California Roll (must ask for it). The food is great and so is the staff, the same people are consistently there and everytime I come back home they recognize me and stick around the table to have a nice convorsation (this includes the owner who is a very nice lady who is fun to joke with). DO NOT EAT HERE. I do NOT recommend this place. It’s disappointing because I would have a few months ago. This place has only gone downhill. The customer service is TERRIBLE and it’s so unsanitary here. The last time I ate here, my waitress kept getting her long, pointy fingernails in my food and then the time before that the other waitress barely served on us. She also forgot to bring us drinks and I had to ask another waitress to get her attention cause she was on her phone at the bar the whole time.
