In response to Rachel's response to Tonya Tuell, I was the friend she was speaking about and Rachel's response was not accurate. I spoke to Ford Studio 4 times on the phone, the final conversation is the one I was frustrated with. My family came to visit in early July and I took them to Ford Studios, we were not told at that time that it would take 8-12 weeks, it was more like 2-6 weeks. John contacted me in September and said mine was ruined in the firing process so we needed to set up a new date for me to come in and redo it. He said they were busy and he would call me back in 2 weeks. Fast forward to latter part of October, I called and was told everyone else's were done. I asked when we were going to do mine. John stated he had forgotten and they were really busy could we do it in November. This is where I got frustrated and told him they had already put me off in September to October and now November, but I agreed to a November date. I went to pick up my sisters' items and Rachel was very rude to me as she would not look at me and would not speak to me. I made a comment about how pretty one turned out, John came from the back room to acknowledge my comment because Rachel ignored it. Before Rachel handed me by bag she said that I didn't seem to be happy in any of our conversations, which is not true, and told me she was refunding my money for my piece, and they were calling it quits and she hoped I found somewhere else to do my art. I was shocked. So I headed home only to find out that they had only given me half of my sisters' pieces. I had to call back and I was told my sisters had come to pick up their pieces which was untrue as they live in OH and AZ. Then I was told they had shipped one of the pieces, which was also untrue. They did find all the pieces and they did deliver them to my house that evening. But not one time in this whole ordeal did they apologize to me. Even when they brought the pieces to my house, they did not apologize. So yes Rachel, you do not need to worry, I will not be back to do a class nor will I step foot in your shop. I was never rude to either you nor John and John was not rude to me either. I have since had another friend say they would not be back due to the time it took to get their pieces. My suggestion to you, is when someone signs up for a class, you let them know at that time how long it will take to get their pieces. This will save you a lot of...
Read moreI have attended 2 classes one in April which took til August to get my finished product. Now still waiting on my project to be completed from my August class. I referred a friend who is also waiting. My friend referred her friend who took her family who was visiting. They have been waiting for 3 months and because she wanted the items that The Ford Studio requires to be paid in advance she was told they was refunding her money and not to come back. So basically you buy their items with your hard earned money but if you question when you will get said purchases you are not welcome any longer. They use the excuse they are covered up with online orders. Then why hold classes? After hearing of how disrespectful Rachel was to this lady who is the kindest soul I will never refer or support this business again ever! We are a small community and to treat people this way when all they want is what we paid you in...
Read moreI’ve attended a class a The FORD Studios, bought pieces from the gallery, & commissioned a gift for a friend. During all of these encounters & more, Rachel & Jon have been nothing short of fantastic. They are helpful, genuine, & passionate artists. My favorite mug is a Jive pottery piece. I have two beautiful mixed media pieces by Rachel that I love seeing everyday. The process for designing & receiving the commissioned piece was easy & seamless — the final product was beautiful & a lovely gift for my friend. I couldn’t be more pleased with The FORD Studios & their place in our community as a...
