BUYERS BEWARE!!! Hopefully this review will result in better future customer experiences if it doesn’t get taken down like a lot of the negative reviews that were on here.
Our experience here wasn’t the worst but it was def an over priced experience. I can see what she was going for. It just lacked in execution. Maybe she didn’t have enough help being as though it was only 2 of them servicing our party of about 10. Then again, if it were more ppl the space is really small so it may have been really cramped. IDK but either way 1st off the price was 75$ per person which we were told included tip. We thought we’d each have our own teapots but Karen just made a bunch of big pots since a lot of us wanted to try the same thing. Which made sense, only down fall was the tea wasn’t hot. I drank about 3 cups and 1 out of the 3 was warm not hot. My fiancé had the hot chocolate it wasn’t hot either. Also apparently we got unlimited tea but we didn’t know that until a week later when Karen the owner asked the host of the party to ask the guest to take down our honest negative reviews. It was never communicated at that time we could have unlimited cups. I didn’t complain then b/c I seen it was only 2 ladies trying to put everything together. But when I asked for more tea I waited about 25mins until I got a cup b/c it was obvious they were running around like crazy trying to get the food and dessert together.(They should of get kept the pots on some type of warmers to keep the tea hot) I also waited awhile just to have honey for my tea. The butternut soup was good but it was cold apparently another thing she threw in for free which again we didn’t know until Karen reached out to the host afterwards. They gave us salad with no dressing or anything but coconut shavings or something on it. I thought we would have a choice b/c I don’t like arugula so I would of just chose the soup so I ended up wasting the salad. The cheese tray didn’t even come with crackers just little slithers of cheese and some raspberry preserves in the middle. I wish I taken pictures of it but I didn’t. Then the sandwiches came out. We each had small croissants & we each had to share desserts when we each paid individually so why are we sharing desserts? Esp for that price. At the end my fiancé & I wanted to pay together since we came together she then told us we had to pay separately but then allowed us to pay together. At the time she rang up us she didn’t mention anything about 20% gratuity and instead of 20% she charged us 40%. 20% per person she never mentioned it and that seemed like a scam to us. B/c had we given an extra tip on the receipt she would of taken that plus the 40% as well. So we went home unsatisfied and starving. Our receipt said one thing then we were charged $30+ Afterwards for tip. I was really excited to come here b/c I love tea but I was so disappointed by the execution and the cooled down tea I couldn’t even enjoy...

This was a very nice luxurious treat my love has set up for me and I was excited for it. I hate to say this but this business would need a lot of improvement to excel in terms of staff training and the management over all. This place would give you more like a Bar atmosphere than a high tea room to say the least.
As for the food I would have to say they are below average for the price they charge. My date wanted Ham and cheese sandwich but we were told they would take a while to prepare and they told us they can serve one if we can wait lol (perhaps they would had to run to the grocery store to get one…?) we would have appreciated the honest truth if they just didn’t have it instead of given a lame excuse. Moreover, I was really anticipating for the authentic French Angelina experience but the hot chocolate we ordered was a luke warm diluted and tasteless ones I was highly dissapointed for the fact that it was falsely advertised on the menu when it clearly stated it was The famous Angelina hot chocolate and they are sold at the tearoom!! But they won’t serve that for the price they charge!! It is beyond upsetting.
The music selection was horrible. I requested to switch to Opera which is much more suitable for the ambiance and the occasion.
On the side note, the waitress girl had made a mistake by not adding one item on the bill and had a nerve to run up to our car to pay for the item and on top of that had nerve to ask for additional tip. I’m sorry but this is Totally unprofessional and unacceptable. We do understand that this is a new business but for the price my date paid for over $180 we would definitely go for another place that would offer more authentic tea room experience.
I’d like to also note that he was charged 20% TIPS which he never agreed to. WHAT A RIP OFF.
Nonetheless, I had a great date because of great company and we got some good laugh out of it! Thanks The high tea Parisian tea...
Read moreThis place is extremely overpriced! Not worth $90 per person.
Went for a friends birthday party. We did the $75 menu.
We received a salad that was completely dry. The soup was super small (3 spoonful) & served room temp and got cold after 2 minutes. We received a plate of 5 sliced cheese with no crackers. ( the cheese were the size of my pinky) The sandwich was small and sliced into two. (1 slice for me and the other for my fiancé) the desserts were also cut into half. It’s $75 per person but the sandwich and desserts are sliced into two ? It’s way overpriced. I left hungry after leaving this place. It’s not worth the price.
The teas however were good the only plus side. The hot chocolate was served room temp not hot and was cold after a few sips. (Why is it called hot chocolate?)
Karen is shady! We were told that tip was included in our package. Karen rung the guests out that night without mentioning we need to tip since she said prior it was included. In the morning i got a $30 charge on my credit card for the tip. My bill went from $159 to $190!! She did not notify us that night while ringing us out that she will be adding a tip. She applied a $15 tip (for two= $30) on my bill without any communication. Karen , you should of mentioned this while cashing us out. This business needs to be on the better business bureaus! Will not recommend to anyone . If you’re looking for a tea party venue please go somewhere else. Parisian Tea Room it’s over priced for food that is sliced into two and they charge your card a $15 tip without communication. Extremely disappointed with this place....
