Went here for our 25th Anniversary. The food was phenomenal. We were the only ones in the restaurant because the Lions club cancelled their meeting and the service was obviously great. History lesson on the restaurant, building , chef etc. The scallops were perfect, brisket was melt in your mouth tender, shrimp and crab picatta was amazing along with the deserts. BYOB saved a few bucks and you can drink your favorite drinks that way. Keep up the great work. DO NOT PASS UP A CHANCE TO EAT HERE. You won't regret it. UPDATE:. Three more times here and they never disappoint. Added a few new pics of Stuffed Chicken, Turkey Croquettes, and Salmon.

A few of us went out for a small employee dinner. We could not have asked for a nicer experience. Des and Billy were wonderful. We had crab cakes and filet. They were delicious! The lump crab meat was so plentiful and you could cut through the filet with a fork. Dessert was amazing as well! The establishment was full of history and very cozy. We will definitely be back!!

My parents had come here many times over the past several decades, through all the ownership troubles. While they said the food was good, the newest iteration of the restaurant has terrible ambiance with floodlight levels of brightness. You can see it in the shadows around the dishes as well as the glare in the various glassware. They won't be returning.

The road heading west to the restaurant was closed for repair resulting in a 15 min additional travel time, and the computer was down meaning cash only. These were minor problems. I ordered the crab cakes which were described as all jumbo lumps made from scratch. Rice pilaf and roasted veggies. The veggies were several pieces of squash, a few pieces of red bell pepper and 1/2 of a small red beet. The rice pilaf was U.B.''s instant converted rice with frozen peas, or something leftover from a previous night. The Crab cakes were totally lumpless and coated with a 1/4inch thick breading. I only ate the 'creamed crab' filling. Must have come frozen from a food distributor. (My opinion) What a disappointment. Two of my four guests also were unhappy with their crab dinners. My remaining two guests had beef and chicken dinners, and fared better despite some negative comments. We arrived at 5:30 to an empty diningroom and finally were served our entrees two hours later. The only commendable part of the evening was our waitress. Her attentivness, friendly personality and professionalism was probably what kept us there waiting. She hid her frustration with the kitchen staff well. What a disappointment from a class restaurant. Sorry...only 1...

Took my family here after a trip to Green Lane park and so happy I did. The dining area was charming and clean, Desiree provided us with outstanding service and the food was excellent and all made from scratch with love. We tried the smoked trout appetizer to start and it was so good even the kids couldn’t get enough. The filet was cooked to perfection, the shrimp and crab linguine was fresh and flavorful, the burger was tasty, and the salads were on point. Also recommend the flourless tort with ice cream and whipped cream, and they had several other desert options that sounded amazing. We highly recommend the Francis Kaufman house and will return. It’s worth the drive for something different. Don’t...
