My husband and I were just driving through Texas and stopped here to grab lunch and I am so glad we did! We were greeted with a warm, friendly smile from the sweet lady working the register. I wish I would have gotten her name. We ordered the brisket, ribs, baked beans, and the green beans. I have had a lot of bbq in my day and have been told by many that my bbq is the best, but this place was the best!! The ribs were fall off the bone, but I couldn’t resist to suck the bone anyway! The brisket was juicy and tender. The seasoning was perfect, the smoke was perfect, not too overpowering. Lucky me even got to meet chef and tell him how great his bbq was. I told him that the green beans were awesome and he said that he couldn’t take credit for those because that was his grandma’s recipe. I wanted to share my review and hope that anyone who is thinking about trying this place out, will definitely go!

We were passing through this town on the way back home. Couldn’t have picked a better place. Everyone there, including the customers were so nice and personable. Great service! Food was delicious, seasoned perfectly and tender, mac n cheese was so good! We tried all the meats, brisket was my favorite but the links didn’t disappoint and a favorite. We’ll definitely come back.

If you come through Marlin ,tx and you blink you’ll pass this place. Small but rich and flavor the brisket, the chicken the mac & cheese, scratch their sweet potato taste really good. I highly recommend you stop if you’re coming through here it’s right off the street. I mean, I love the brisket the chicken, sweet potato, and mac & cheese from scratch.

I’m honestly confused on why this place has so many good reviews. We tried it for the first time tonight and it was not a good experience. The only food that’s good is the ribs, which are some of the better ones I’ve tried recently. The brisket, links and sides were ok. Not terrible but not great either. And the service was seriously lacking. They couldn’t keep track of orders because they don’t put any identifying information (name, vehicle info, etc) on your ticket when you order. We waited over 40 min for our food when we were given an estimate of 25 min (which even seemed like a long wait for bbq considering the meat is all cooked already and the plates just need to be loaded up). The girl running the front counter gave us a bag at one point, which I opened 2 plates on because I always double check my order when trying a new place. It wasn’t ours. They put it back behind the counter and gave it to the correct customer after I had touched it (and the girl working the front counter saw me touch the bread, which I had to do in order to check the food under the foil). If I hadn’t been sitting there watching them make my food, I would’ve just asked for my money back because clearly I can’t trust this place to give me food that hasn’t been contaminated. We will never return and y’all should be seriously careful about...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing BBQ and Exceptional Service!

I recently stopped by DQ BBQ in Marlin, TX, and let me tell you, this place is a hidden gem! From the moment I walked in, the warm and friendly atmosphere made me feel right at home.

The BBQ is absolutely top-notch. The brisket was perfectly tender and smoky, with just the right amount of bark. The ribs practically fell off the bone, bursting with flavor in every bite. And the sausage? Simply delicious—a must-try for any BBQ lover!

The sides are just as amazing as the meat. The creamy mac and cheese and tangy coleslaw were the perfect complements to the BBQ. And the portion sizes? Generous enough to leave you full but still wanting more because it’s so good.

What really stood out was the outstanding service. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring everything was perfect throughout the meal. They clearly take pride in their food and their customers’ experience.

If you’re passing through Marlin or live nearby, DQ BBQ is a must-visit. It’s the kind of place that keeps you coming back again and again. Whether you’re a BBQ enthusiast or just looking for a hearty, delicious meal, this spot will exceed your expectations. I can’t wait to return!

Five stars...
