We have been going to Tudors for years. My husband and I always get a pork barbecue sandwich. We usually frequent the Airport Road location in Beckley but we live in Bluefield and go to the Cumberland Road location as well as a multitude of other Tudors and we have only been once refused a barbecue and pork sandwich and that was because they said they didn't have slaw. We always stop around 7 a.m. sometimes right when they open typically Airport Road we would go to as they opened for years. Alan always said it was no problem all they got to do is heat it up anyway just like they do at lunch time and nowhere else is ever given us any Flack. None of the other managers at any of the other location have a problem and the new manager who took Alans place when he retired a few months ago doesn't have a problem when I stopped at this location at 10 minutes after 10 this morning I was told that they did not serve pork barbecue sandwiches until lunch. I asked why because we can get it every other location and we were told that somebody named Christina had told them not to serve them before lunch time. So I left and went to Hardee's next door. Sadly I don't have my pork barbecue this morning which has kind of become a morning ritual. If it's close to lunchtime and it doesn't take any more effort than it does during lunchtime to make it then what is the problem? Seriously I guess we're going to have to find a new morning ritual which is sad because I guarantee you that you guys probably make at least $150 a month off of us and I know that's not a great deal in the grand scheme of things but...
Read moreThis is my 1st time trying this place as I've checked reviews and have been dying to try out buiscuit world as we dont have them in VA. What I ordered is outstanding it gets 5 stars. The work etiquette of the front line is where the 2 star comes in. Yes everyone was friendly yes is was very busy when I was there. The turn around time from the cooks was slow BUT that very well was because the front line staff wouldn't leave them alone to focus on what they were doing..they constantly were being questioned where something was and each time it was right in front of them. Now that's not so bad but when you have a counter full of people waiting for what was placed and MULTIPLE people waiting to order and that front line person with short curly grey/white hair takes her ringing PERSONAL phone out of her pocket and proceeds to answer the call IN THE MIDDLE OF A CUSTOMER PLACING AN ORDER with her...and then has the nerve to walk away...and then take a 2nd phone call as the person in front of me is asking for a refund due to the wait and the worker apparently goes outside on the phone!!! Work etiquette gets NO WORSE than what I witnessed today! Any one job I have ever had....you would have been fired at that exact moment. That is not how you act on the clock! And for her being an older woman I would expect her to know better than to do that!!! I will not be stopping in at this location on my travels I hope the other locations expect proffesionalism from their staff...
Read moreQuite possibly one of the worst fast food experiences of my life. We're from out of state and stopped here because I had previously liked this place.
First strike was that they were out of what I wanted to order. It happens, not a huge deal. But in the greater context, it adds up,
We ordered and were told to wait behind to restaurant. After a long wait, we were told they were out of biscuits (How is BISCUIT World out of biscuits?). So we got our sandwiches on toast after another long wait. These sandwiches are clearly not meant for toast because the meat fills up about half of the bread.
I'm chowing down on my sandwich and began noticing little white crinkly fibers extruding from the uneaten part. It was beard hair. After spitting out what I had in my mouth, I starting eat the other sandwich. SAME THING. After my nausea subsided, it all went in the trash. This guy must have been shaving over top of the sandwiches there was that much.
We spent $18 here and threw all of it away. I contacted corporate explaining the situation and that we were from out of state. The response? A coupon for a free biscuit. Yes, Biscuit World, I am really going to drive to another state to use a coupon for a free $1 biscuit (which you'd probably be out of anyway).
Terrible restaurant. Insulting...
