Camden’s Library Coffee House is a warm, welcoming gem in Mars Hill that earns a solid five-star rating. As soon as you step in, you’re embraced by a comfortable and vibrant atmosphere where creative energy thrives. The friendly, attentive staff are eager to make your experience special, recommending their diverse coffee and breakfast offerings. Their partnership with Cooperative Coffee Roasters ensures that every sip is crafted with care, featuring notes like the chocolatey richness of El Tigre Dark Roast or the full-bodied warmth of Camden’s Blend, accented with caramel undertones. The open seating invites you to linger, whether you’re working or catching up with friends, while their fast WiFi makes it a haven for digital nomads and students. Beyond the impressive variety of teas and specialty drinks, Camden’s also offers a range of breakfast options that cater to diverse tastes. This coffee house isn’t just a place to refuel—it’s a true Mars Hill staple, with a space dedicated to honoring the life and passion of a cherished local, fostering community spirit in every corner. Highly recommended! p.s. Mary, thank you for the great warm conversation!

We like to support local businesses, and were very pleased to see a sign out in front of this place that stated face coverings are required. However, this is not actually the case. Only ONE employee was wearing a mask and none of the patrons had on any type of face covering. On top of this, as you can see from the photos, the customers are not practicing social distancing. So, GREAT place if you are looking to spread and/or contract COVID-19. Otherwise, avoid like...the plague. Edit: As the pictures show, one employee was wearing a mask, nobody else despite the signage stating it was mandatory. There was zero social distancing being enforced. Covid doesn't care about excuses. It's places like this that will help spread the virus in rural areas. They care more about you spending money than your health. It's so easy to turn people away who refuse to comply with health mandates. The owners here simply don't care.

Spectacular gem! This is a cozy location with a very unique feel, ample seating and delicious, unique drinks! I normally just get a regular latte, which I did this time- it was very good. I also got “the golden hour”- which was also very good- it’s a great twist on a standard latte and I loved the turmeric! We loved the seating options. They also have games, chess, many books, in addition to supplements and book’s from local authors. The bathrooms are clean, as is the whole establishment. This place is everything I could want in a coffee shop! I’ll certainly be back anytime in in town and I’m jealous of the college students who are able to walk here at any time!

I have been a customer at Camden’s Library now since they have opened up. They never disappoint me with their drinks or the food they have prepared for me. I’m very close with some of the workers here, too, and am always treated fairly, and with respect. To the man who decided to make a fuss about the customers not wearing masks, everyone who sets foot into this building has a mask on their person at all times unless they are consuming something. Trying to set up local businesses up for failure by leaving a harmful review causes more issues than you think, so I would rethink your review, Brian. To the future customers of Camden’s Library, know this is a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for all people. I have much love for this building and all of the workers here and I couldn’t thank them enough for the amount of kindness and hospitality they express towards all people. Too bad I can’t leave 6 stars...
