I'm super picky about bakeries having owned a bakery myself for many years. I'm also passionate about the good ones, and High Ridge did not disappoint! From the beautifully appointed front window to their delightfully warm interior and pastry case full of a really great assortment of sweet and savory options, they are doing bakeries right! Such a thrill to have a wonderfully executed new small business in the community and I will definitely put this in my regular rotation.

Today we had the gruyere and pesto roll and cheddar and scallion biscuit. The biscuit was wonderfully crunchy on the outside and very buttery with a peppery finish which gave it a spicy vibe. The roll was definitely fresh and the gruyere was a nice choice with the pesto, a combination I have never had.

We appreciated the counter person taking time to select the best pieces from the case for us and engaging in some nice conversation as well. It made us feel like we belonged there, although we chose not to squeeze in to the two remaining seats in the place and ate our treats in the car. I hope nobody complains about the minimal seating because I really feel like they are offering a very good balance between production and retail space....

Sooooo excited about this new bakery in Mars Hill! I'm always looking for a peaceful place to sit and enjoy a bit of the morning with family or friends – especially if I don't have to drive to AVL or WVL to do it! The shop location is great, in lovely downtown Mars Hill, right next to the Quill & Honey gift shop and a few doors down from Stackhouse. I'm also pretty picky about baked goods, so the deliciousness of both items we tried (a savory gruyère roll and a blueberry muffin) was the icing on the cake! Looking forward to making this a...

If you aren't a vegan and you live in Mars Hill, High Ridge Bakery is the place for you. Unreal, rich, thick cinnamony cinnamon buns with grainy sugar and a satisfying dough, not undercooked or overcooked. The foccacia is unbelievably light and savory, and the cheddar biscuit is dense without losing flavor. The owners are friendly and kind. While I don't live in Mars Hill, and I prefer to eat vegan, this bakery has got...

High Ridge Bakery in Mars Hill is seriously worth the 20-minute drive from Asheville 🍞 Everything’s baked fresh and sells out fast, totally worth the wait. Cozy vibes, amazing bread, and the sweetest little spot. ✨ Comment your go-to order if you’ve been! #visitasheville #ncfoodies #marshill #asheville #localbakery

A wonderful addition to Mars Hill! I picked up an array of treats from tartes to bread and everything was fresh and delicious! The rosemary focaccia is to die for! The staff were very friendly and helpful and the shop was peaceful, although there is not much room for seating. If you’re in the area definitely stop in and pick up some treats.

This was for me the most awaited place in our little town…and does not disappoint. The baked goods are so fresh, inviting atmosphere, a Scandinavian interior which is very welcoming. Love everything about it. And this is where I get my sourdough from.
